Hello Oludee Ajayi! I see your trying to figure out why people don't eat meat and a few other products. The health reason is that our bodies were not meant to eat these products. They leave toxins in our bodies, and it is extremely hard for us to digest. I could get into extreme details, but I figured you could start your research by knowing this.
Second, is for spiritual reasons. We are a peaceful species. We feel sick to our stomachs when we see harm done to anyone or any other species. We get nauseaus at the sight of blood, guts, vile, murder, among many other things. This does not add up to the fact that we are suppose to kill or steal from beautiful creatures. When you see a horse, or another animal that we take meat from, do you start to get hungry and salvitate? Or do you get overwhelmed with joy and beauty for that animal? Do you want to pounce on it and bite it in a vital aarterie causing blood to explode all over your body as you watch it suffer, and then go straight for the good parts, which includes the heart, liver, flesh, stomach etc? Do you want to sneak up behind the animal, as it lays it's young, and simply steal from it? Steal it's love? Steal it's life? NO! This is totally against our species reason for living!
We have sensitive, loving hands. Fingers used for picking fruits and vegetables. We can not run quick speeds as we would if we were carnivore/omnivore (ie instantly bursting into a 30+ mph sprint)
Last, ethical reasons. I could go on this for days! Instead, I will reference a book to you that covers ethical, spiritual, and health issues on eating all animal products. It is called the "World Peace Diet" by Will Tuttle, Ph.D. It is a very beautiful book with lots of valuble information. I hope you enjoy it!
Hopefully you gained something from this comment, and hopefully I made a friend. Have a great, beautiful day!
I had a kale salad (an entire bunch's worth), a green smoothie that filled the entire Vitamix, and a slice of raw raspberry cake that I got from Rockin Raw, a restaurant here in NYC. I wanted to make a green juice but I didn't have the time.
food combining well is super important Callie...
maybe leave having any raw fats til your evening meal and only have one raw fat at a time, and dont combine it with any fruit...
fruits and greens together go beautifully...
however banana and avo...
What did you eat today? I am transitioning into raw slowly...
Here's what I had:
Green Juice (cucmber, kale, celery, lemon, green apple)
2 apples
banana
lots of carrots
humongeous salad with raw dressing
2 soy/gluten free veggie buegers--cooked :...
yeah I've gotten those email to my email I don't know how..they seemed unstoppable..or maybe it was because UI was too lazy to unsubscribe. I only signed up because I wanted to see something that someone linked to!!
i add in heaps of greens Erin...and protein powder when i feel i 'need' it...i was having it daily now im not drawn to it at all...just going with the flow....great how we can share our different experiences hey?
