Neeta, this is beautiful and fully authentic. . . somehow you put into words a hard to describe feeling. .. and from this point of freedom, came genuine desire, I don't even know if I can call it desire - its not a wanting, it is more of an expressing......something that just flows through you, without making a home within.....

thank you for all your words, here and again the ones you left for me. . .
xx

Hi Neeta,

I've been juicing two types of radishes: sometimes the little red ones (about four -- they give the juice a nice little peppery zing), and the the daikons, which look like white carrots. I juiced an entire daikon with beet, carrot, spinach, fennel and celery the other night, and it did seem to overpower the drink some. I think it's best to juice just half of the daikon. The little red radishes are supposed to be good for the skin (increases collegen production) and the daikons are supposed to be good for loosening up everything in the gut. At least that's what I read in a juicing book. At any rate, I like the flavor as long as I use it in moderation.

Today, I'm back in the office, and I'm sorry to report, the real world stress has kicked in with deadlines and that sort of thing. I went nuts on some dark chocolate today and feel kind of guilty. Oh well, I do what I can.... Hope all is going well on your end.

Neeta! You went to France for the holidays? How lovely, how fantastic, how simply divine! I love everything about the French, except the foie gras and the snails and a few other foods. I must have been on your wave length because I spent part of my time off reading up on Voltaire and Rousseau. Anyway, the cleansing went well, and as of late this afternoon, I am officially back on my regular raw diet. I fasted for three days, then did one day of green juice and only fruit monomeals (not too much sugar: grapefruit, orange, raspberries, tomato and cucumber). Day five I had a green smoothie with a dash of spirulina, a green salad and this wonderful juice blend of beets, daikon radish, celery, spinach, carrot, and ginger (oh man, that was good!). Today I had some raw dolmas (made with sprouted wild rice, nuts, and seeds in a collard green wrap). I also did three colonics this week--one every other day since Dec. 26th. Neeta, I feel fantastic, simply wonderful. And tonight I am enjoying one of the best New Year's ever. The husband and I are just relaxing at home with our cats, reading books, and feeling content. I so don't miss the parties, the alcohol, and the chaos. Anyway, this was not my first go with colonics. I've actually been doing this off and on for close to 20 years. I've typically done a 7-day fast every several years, but since going raw, I plan to do them more often. A new world has opened up for me since I've taken this path. Funny, I remember last year reading my horoscope (something I don't put a lot of credence into) and it said that 2007 would be a year of great spiritual growth that would affect the rest of my life. Looking back on this year, I can really say that discovering raw food has certainly been that for me. Today I weigh 119 pounds -- 21 pounds less than I did five months ago. This is the first New Years in five years that I did not start the year with a resolution to loose weight. But more than that, it feels great to be alive.

Happy New Year, Neeta. I look forward to corresponding with you more in 2008. Cheers!

Happy day after Christmas, Neeta!

This is my favorite day of the year, when all the stress starts to lift and I can look at all the potential of the new year in front of me. I started a fast today. Woke up and made a big batch of cayenne lemonade and made an appointment for a colonic tomorrow. I plan to cleanse for a week or so. I'll definitely keep you posted on how it goes. Today, I'm just doing housecleaning and organizing. How's your day?

Thanks, Neeta!

Happy holidays to you and your family, too. Lots of temptations out there this time of year, but most have little or no appeal to me anymore. It's amazing how many cookies and brownies and junk I've recieved this year. I've given everything away except for two pieces of chocolate. I've also drank more wine than I normally do.

Hi Neeta,

I just read some of your posts on your website. We're the same age! I just read about your detoxing and I have had a few ups and downs, too, since going raw in early August. I am taking a probiotic at night and digestive enzymes in the morning and it seems to be helping a lot. I'm planning a fast and colonics session soon, though, to get to a deeper level.

Story of a Cell / Part Two

Sometimes, when you are a step away from the edge, Life gives you a surprise...........

One day, I took a walk around the block. I was suffocating and needed to be alone.......I had to be very careful and avoid the dumps everywhere, taking back streets and diverting into back alleys.
After a while, I had no idea where I was as the area felt totally unfamiliar to me. I was so tired, I sat down on a broken bench, desperate and lost......I was thirsty too and water had been scarce for ages. The ri… Continue

The Story of a Cell / Part One

My name is Heart, I am a Cell and this is my Story.....................................................

I look around and feel elated. How things have changed.
It was not like this before, oh no, nothing like this............

There was a time when I had almost forgotten who I was and why I was here. Everywhere around me was sadness, everyone around me was a zombie, sick and tired......barely able to function, barely able to go to work and do what needed to be done.
Most of them had given up.… Continue

A Post of Gratitude........

I began transitioning into raw foods a couple of months ago and I've been doing almost 80% green juices for the last few days. Today I went 100%. First day of an eight day juice feast.
Its 3 am here in London and I can't sleep. I have so much energy, creative energy, mental energy, even physical, I could write a book.......go dancing.......go make some more juice........
I come from years of having no energy, I can't even begin to express what this feels to me now......its beyond words.

Its jus… Continue
