God made cows to eat grass. Farmers and agribusiness decided that grain fattened them up faster and it was easier to control the feeding process. My first bite of grass-fed steak was an epiphany. The energy was so smooth and sweet. I wouldn't wo...

I just did this cleanse. It worked very well. I felt amazing for 2 days and then returned to mostly normal. They claim you need to do it 13 times. David Jubb would say 50 times as often as every 4 days. His is more gentle though. Some people are a...

HMMMM Good Green Smoothie

Somewhere lately I read about a smoothie with navel oranges and spinach and lemon.

Just made it this morning and it is yummie.

I had been off my green smoothies for a while and in a rut. This is so good!

Thanks for the inspiration whoever turned me on to it.

Time to get back to drinking living light. Green smoothies!

I was in a car accident need advice!

A guy ran stop sign and I T-boned him at about 35mph. I wasn't wearing my seat belt! I know my bad!

I cracked the windsheid with my head and put my chest right into the steering wheel. Yah, it hurt bad, and still does. This was Thursday morning. My appetite is gone. My throat feels swollen, neck is very sore. Hospital x-rays say nothing broken, just soft tissue damage.

I am still eating fruit and salads with a little cooked food. My digestion seems to have really slowed down, as well as my act… Continue

It's the little joys.

I have had, by my own irelevant judgement, ups and downs today, including my sister running one of her trips on me, but all is over shadowed by finding large Caribbean Red Papaya in Wisconsin in late winter for $2.99 each.

Hallelujah hallelujah....Leonard Cohen version, whom I'm soon to see live.

I am 100% raw (and have been since Jan 16, 2009).

I am not 811, though I periodically get ambitions in that direction, and I think I do feel better when I eat in a more 811 direction.

My baseline rule is that as long as it's raw, I eat as much as I want of whatever I want. As a result my diet is kind of scattered. I've been through periods where I ate 3 cantaloupes a day and a large (as in a couple of heads of lettuce plus other veggies) salad every day, and I've been through periods where I ate most of my meals out at raw gourmet restaurants. It's been all over the place. The important thing for me is staying raw.

I do a *lot* of yoga. As in for the most part I get to a yoga class at least once a day. I've also gone through periods where I did a lot of hiking and a moderate amount of rowing. The key point though is that I scaled my physical activity to my energy levels. I didn't start out doing this much exercise, I grew into it as I felt better from the raw food. The key point for me is to do what feels good, and not to push myself to be more active than feels good.

That's good that you figured it out, and kind of funny too! I injured my back muscles from strain as well, and I'm getting ART every week. It's a really good therapy, it's helped me the most out of everything I've tried. Good luck!! :)

Not personally, but try the supplementation and I'm wondering if being analysed by a deep-tissue massage therapist would help. It sounds more like an injury or something if it's based mainly in your right knee. If it were nutritional-based you think you'd be feeling it equally on both sides.

Thanks Martbook. Yes, I've heard that before. Then what is the best way to get rid of the blockages? I seem to have been to many many therapists, a teacher, etc, and my "stuff" is very resistant, or I am... Is it the same as what you said before?

HI Martbook,
Thanks for the thoughtful responses. I'm going to try your technique. Thanks for pointing me back in the direction I had been meaning to go several months ago, and got off track....

Martbook,

Sure I would be happy to offer some suggestions. Can you tell me what you are eating specifically on an average day, and how much. I know you say you dont weigh your food and dont want to have to, but do you have a rough approximation for how much eg. 1 cup blueberries, 5 medium bananas, ripe? It sounds like youre certaintly running deficient in something, but I would like to analyse a typical daily intake to confirm the likelihood of this. What is your age, weight, height and activity levels too?

Take care
