If you want to lose fat, diet & CARDIO!!!! Lifting weights will burn some cal and boost your metabolism, but it comes down to cal in, cal out.


Most women are like you and have plenty of muscle in the legs, so they would look more balanced if they had bigger "cappier" delts! So more shoulder work, & less legs.

I didn't have time to finish my thoughts last night...

The split I gave you is what I do, many women however would not benefit from legs 2x a week and would look a lot better if they did abs & shoulders 2x instead.

How long it would take you to really 'look' like a body builder would depend on how much fat you have to lose and how quickly you put on muscle. Most people with enough exercise, diet and determination would see good results in 6-8 months. Some think a good rule of thumb is 2 years tho: muscle bellies develop a 'maturity' that can be seen by those who know what to look for.

Are you working with a trainer? 6x a week... what I do is

legs -- emphasis quads & hams
bis & tris
chest & back
legs -- emphasis outer thighs & bum
shoulders & abs

Do some cardio each day (ugg) and whatever day you don't feel like training do all cardio.
