I've always been curious how much a raw diet influenced paleolithic peoples' rugged athletic ability. After growing up on SAD, anything close to the raw lifestyle seems radical to myself and others. Every time I go 100% it's a struggle to detox and psychologically adjust. It's so ironic that it has to be a constant fight to transition to something that's natural.
I lived in Venice Beach for ten years. During this time, there was a group who sold raw food (including animal products) along with a book by Aajonus. A woman who worked there insisted that I could get much stronger by simply eating raw meat (even without lifting). I had a lot of vegan friends, finished reading "Raw Power" by Steve Arlin, and just couldn't bring myself to do it. Sushi was the only exception!
For the past year-and-a-half I've been training in Russian sambo. I understand that UFC fighter Mac Danzig is a vegan. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of research on the effects of raw food on athletic performance. This is especially true of strength and combat sports. I feel like anything I try is uncharted territory.
Anyway, thanks for adding me on as a friend. You are obviously really cool. Good luck with school and the discoveries you make on your personal journey.
Baby, this answer rocks. I understand it completely. I did quite a lot of pills over a 2 year period in my 20s and got to experience all of what you described in your 1st paragraph. When I keep my raw diet pure and stay away from nuts, I feel the ...

I think most people want to do this because they need attention, not because it really turns them on... maybe different for the people watching? personally don't want any more secreted bodily fluids to avoid in the city.. isn't there enough piss e...
Full disclosure - I work as a therapist.
Yes, it helps.
But you should know that the value of it can't be described by the speed of the healing process or whether you're looking or seeming perfect. Therapy is about coming to terms and coming back...
I always used to get sick on foods from restaurants, but the same meal I prepared at home wouldn't make me sick.... restaurants tend to drown foods in butter and oils, you've probably been eating less of those since going on those diet.
Finally reconciled with my mother two years before she split the scene at the age of 95. Load off my mind.
She was tough, tough, tough, tough.
Jewish mother nagging shit, non-fucking-stop. Always fresh to her, always Hell to me.
Wow that's got to be tough. I think I would set myself on fire if I had to live with or near either one of my parents. I'm going to try to keep distance from them & keep a diary. Thank you for the support RGG
It hasn't faded any yet, but I've only heard of problems with some of the phosphorus inks and ours don't have any in. But who knows, the approved UV inks have only been out a few years and they're more expensive so not a lot of people take the opt...
