Hi Mica, Mucuslless Diet was one of the first books I read 20 years ago...at the time, it blew my head open (never fully recovered!) and it was a while before I recognized that what he was talking...

Hi Priyam, Thanks for your appreciation. I wouldn't encourage anyone to fast for more than a week or so without supervision; though chances are very high one would be fine, there are those times ...

Hi El-bo, I understand that for many people here, finding the $ and time to do a proper, supervised, water-only fast might seem like a luxury. I've had many clients over the years who did not have...

Thank you so much for answering, Loren! If we take you as an example for this "non-formula", I wonder: what age did you start making excellent diet/lifestyle choices, how bad was your health when you started on a scale from 1-10 (10 being the worst), and how many/how long fasts did you do before you felt at "excellent health" (like all your problems from the past had gone away and you were "born again")?

Loren, as an example, how many and how long fasts in such surroundings as you are offering is enough to totally clean out a person coming directly from SAD eating? I know there are no exact numbers that work for everyone but what is your impression, having worked with so many clients through the years? I read an example a long time ago that you need to fast one day for each year you want to detox, so 40 days for a 40 year old, 20 days for a 20 year old etc. That seems a bit too fast and easy though! :)

If I plan a trip to Panama, I will give you a shout. I am not interested in long term water fasting. I wouldn't come for that reason but I would say hi. I haven't been teaching yoga for awhile now. I am probably a bit rusty with that. I am still doing massage, Rolfing and cranial work, but only part time. I am back in school working toward a few certificates and degrees. 5 Acres of gardens sounds really nice. I am building my gardens here. Florida is a bit hard on veggies, but I'm learning a few tricks. Going out for my 5 miles now. nice talkin with ya.

Hi Loren,
I am doing pretty well. I found out that the reason why I was so sick before was because I had Lyme Disease. I am doing waaaaaayyyy better now. I live in Florida - not too far from Panama by plane. I almost considered moving there - if Obama didn't get elected. John is in Maryland again. He was in Florida too for a few years. He is on facebook. You might be able to find him there. How are you doing?

I reuse plastic bags till they're falling apart. I've gotten into the habit of always having a shopper or two with me or a rolled up plastic bag wherever I go.

Hmmm. I've had mine for at least 10 years. I don't know about everybody else, but I find them very convenient to use. The Chico bags that is ( an no, I'm not selling them) because I can fold them up into tiny balls and stick them into my purse. Th...
