Cool - I didn't know that is what qigong meant! Yes, the other genre of energy work I referred to is similar in that it's about understanding and workin with our energy anatomy, far more than just meridians - it's a more complex understanding of h...
Yes- I see that Quantum Techniques is different than EFT- it looks like a big improvement.
I don't have a link for the Shaolin technique- it's one of those things that is passed down through one lineage of teachers (in this case, Robert Peng in NY...
Hi Erin. Well, QT isn't EFT - it's TFT, and some other techniques. Doesn't require statements or affirmations for the most part. I tend to do more intuitive kinds of energy work, sometimes involving statements, both affirmations and also about pat...
I started my vegan journey Jan. 1, 2008. I have been converting to a raw food diet for the past few months. My goal is to be 100% raw by the end of the year. I love this lifestyle. I love the food. This diet just makes sense. Following a vegan diet, I still ate gluten and lots of processed food. Now I cut out all processed garbage. I do like to eat cooked quinoa once in a while. Sometimes I feel like I'm an alien because lots of people I know don't seem to understand me :)
I currently attend the University of Georgia. I am majoring in Dietetics and Arabic. I'm also starting massage therapy school in the fall. My dream goal is to have a healing clinic or resort, where people can come and heal through a raw food diet without harmful prescription medications. I also would LOVE to attend some raw food preparation classes...someday!
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
This community can best support me with moral support and transition advice. I really need some advice about sharing a kitchen/home with a non-raw foodist. That really makes it difficult for me! I'd also love to meet people interested in raw food where I live.

I just took my final today, so I'm a happy girl. I decided to go back to school for nursing and tried out Biology. I haven't gotten my official transcript, but I'm positive it will say A+. :-D I swear, being raw makes me smarter.
Christmas is crazy fun! We're going to see The Nutcracker on Saturday, and then do the family shuffle all week long. I am thankful that my family is so centrally located and all in Connecticut.
Hi Lisa! I can't tell you how great it is to get out of Georgia and learn raw and start a new life around really great people. I heard they discontinued the program for now but maybe you could put your name on a waiting list to get in later. Also there is a masters program in nutrition through there. It is off campus for the most part but you do do some on site like a month long fast that is in June. I think you could start your studies now with or without the BA but youd have to get a BA before you finalized the Masters. It takes some time to talk to people and see what is available but if you work at it you should be able to at least visit and maybe do a seva- which is help out in exchange for room and board. I can tell your food and smile are both beautiful and they would love you and you would love it there- it is like another world.. Michael Beder on this site could give you more up to date info... Good luck!

Hi your food looks amazing.
I read where the Butinkos (raw family) said that Mango (your fav food) and blueberries are great for blood sugar. When the son Sergio went raw to cure his diabetes he ate tons of both and they did not even know this at the time. His body was craving what would heal it.
I thought that was so cool.
What is in the purple smootie in your pics?
It's so great to have you here, Loren. And we are fortunate to receive the benefits of your years of experience with fasting. All your posts are extremely helpful to me and I am tremendously appreciative of your willingness to participate here so ...
YUM! That looks sooooo good, I love sushi so much but haven't had it years, since I don't get the conventional stuff anymore ( I call them mercury rolls) and I'm too lazy to make something like this.....will you come over and make it for me, pleee...
There is a great fruit wholesaler in town, specializing in Local, organic fruit actually.
All I need is a few people, a car and one willing person to go up there with me at some unholy hour (they close at 9am) once a week and it's beautiful fruit ...
