Hi Lisa..thanks for the welcome. There are a couple of raw places to eat in Atlanta. One I know of is Loving it Live (www.lovingitlive.com) in East Point by the airport. I haven't been there yet but plan on it. I'm still transitioning into the raw way of life mainly eating green smoohie and fruits for breakfast and vegetables/salad for lunch. This is pretty easy for me to do at work but my problem is when I get home and start working out, that's when I crave for my old back up, tuna fish, rice, chicken etc. I know I'll get there eventually so I try not to beat myself up just take it one day at a time.
The most important thing to remember is you can do it, and it will pass! It's awesome that you're aware of it, and even if you don't feel like you've progressed, you've already taken the first steps! You drop me a line when you need help, babe! ~ One Love
of COURSE it's ok to not be 100%! I am not 100% either--and my DH eats cooked, so sometimes when we go out to eat my salads have a bit of cheese on them...and I don't freak! Just do your best, go slowly, and keep eating a higher and higher percentage of raw. do not beat yourself up over anything--just enjoy your food :)
The 80/10/10 diet is basically the diet that closely mimicks what we would eat in nature.
The 80/10/10 stands for:
80% of our calories coming from carbohydrates
10% of our calories coming from protein
10% of our calories coming from fat.
It is a low fat raw vegan approach. No supplements, no oils, no superfood powders/potions. Just Whole, fresh, ripe, raw, organic fruits, vegetables and some nuts and seeds.
If you are serious about giving it a try I would recommend getting the book. It totally changed the way I look at not only diet but health in general. Delete Comment
I was told by a friend that is doing raw totally, that I have to go all raw for me to feel better and to start looking better and losing weight. I feel like she is putting me down because I am not 100%. How do I overcome that feeling that I can't do this but I do want to do this because the raw food that I am eating I have been feeling good until my friend tells me these things and I start feeling depressed again. Please help how do I overcome this?
It's totally ok not to be 100% raw.
The more raw you eat the better you will feel.
It's not an all or nothing deal.
Just try enjoy your meal.
FYI...don't eat the banana peel :)

I dont smell like fruit, but since getting all the processed foods out of my diet I find I hardly need deoderant. Theres definitely a noticeable improvement.
What are people supposed to smell like? In nature, animals smell musky.
