The easiest dressings to make are vinagrettes... just whisk together some olive oil and your choice of vinegar (apple cider, red wine, etc.) and a little salt and pepper and any herbs you like. Then just store some in the fridge so you always have...

I love summertime!!

Everything seems to be falling into place these past few days! I seem to be making peace with food after a month of binging, and I couldn't be more excited!

After going to the farmer's market this morning, I realized that eating high raw will be easier than I thought this summer! All my favorites are in season: basil, berries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, tomatoes, zucchini!! I wanted to buy some of everything, but I'm leaving town on tuesday so I figure I need to get through the food I alrea… Continue

first blog-- *having some trouble*

I wish this wasn't the case, but I'm having a really difficult time with food right now... I feel like I just went from one extreme to another and now it's taking a toll on me. I did the master cleanse for 10 days and finished around a week ago... I felt great on the cleanse and had every intention of easing off and eating much healthier after. The day I ended the cleanse, I was having some roommate drama and dealing with a lot of stress and just kinda threw myself into a cycle of binge eating.… Continue

I'll normally eat romaine lettuce wraps filled with tomatoes, cucumber, cashew nuts.. or you could have them with humous, shredded carrots etcc. just eat them instead of bread and flour wraps and you'll soon be eating them every day without even thinking haha. oh and green smoothies are a staple as-well I'll have one for lunch everyday! I've been eating a breakfast made up of chopped bananas, apples, raisins, cashew nuts, dried banana and apricots a lot lately, it's so good and it really fills you up! :) I also made a smoothie today made of 1 papaya, 1 banana, 1 peach, handful of strawberries and some blueberries. it was sooo goood you should try it!! hmmm as for variety, I'd experiment more with different recipes. try using different textured and flavored foods and just mix up whatever you think will taste good! :) hope this helps! :D

awww your welcome!! :) I tried something new today, you can use the brownie mixture to make choco balls! all you have to do is get a small bit of the mixture - it will be quite sticky - roll it into a ball and then roll it in shredded coconut! it tastes so good haha ,and totally sorts out chocolate cravings! hmmm the cocoa powder I use is called divine - it's fairtrade so its pretty expensive.. maybe you could just get the regular kind at the supermarket? i'm sure it would be just as good :) It seems so weird that people would have a problem with what you eat haha but I'm lucky my flatmates are really good about it. I think that as long you are happy with doing it then no one will really care. but ah I know what you mean!! I can be tough when you're transitioning - i guess I find it easier being 100% then say, 90% cos once I start eating cooked or processed foods - I can't stop! :O lol I totally understand about having to explaining yourself aswell, it can be so frustrating! I'll tell people I'm on a raw diet and they think I have an eating disorder! - my grandmother was asking me if it's safe!! lol but anyways if you need any advice or recipes then feel free to ask!! :D
