HI, Blenders such as Vitamix and Blentec make whole fruit/veg juice. SO you still have pulp, and by adding water/ice, you get juice consistency. Juicer (masticating are best, as they are not heating the juice, preventing enzymes from being destroy...
Um.. not really sure a Vitamix makes juices as such - it's really more like smoothies. But if you added water maybe you would get a more juice like texture to whatever you put in there, if it was too thick for your liking. It leaves no chunks or b...
Hi Lucy,
Lol, I'm not sure I know either! I think it's a juicer I'm after, I guess... what confused me is even though vita-mix is a blender from what I've read it sounds ideal because it makes juices. Had a look at Champions and if I can afford t...
Hi Laroo,
It was great to meet with you too! I'm a bit confused as to whether it's a juicer or a blender that you're looking for, but I have a vitamix blender and a champion juicer. Not the economical choices but they are fantastic and I would re...
Yes you can get raw choc spread online from here http://www.therawchocolateshop.com/detail.asp?prodID=68
Also you can get raw choc from roots and fruits on great western road it's called conscious chocolate and there are loads of different varieties. I think I told you that already? Sorry losing my marbles :)
Yes I'm really looking forward to today, there's loads of people coming and sounds like lots of yummy dishes on the go! I've made the next one a Sunday, hope you can make it xx
oooh choc spread yum! i was in grassroots today and spent £50 somehow on some fruit and veg!! they've an excellent range in now as they've changed supplier apparently Friday is the best day to go!
awww that's so cute! cats are magic x
roots and fruits has some pretty fab vegan stuff on the go. i tried sprouted wheat bread i bought from there yesterday and it was lovely! looks heavy but it's quite light x
Next week is really good for me as I am on annual leave the whole next week and am just going to totally chillax. I have a few things lined up, but can be pretty flexible, so just let me know when suits you and your work. I live quite near Blantyre train station so would be happy to collect you from there - you can get a low level train from Central. As for the juices, I'm not really fussy, so bring whatever you want to experiment with - this is your play time! xx
Thanks for the lovely comments. I am so happy that you have found it useful & easy to use. Even if it helps just you it will have been worth creating. I had a hyperthyroid - my thyroxine levels were 99 instead of 22... i managed to reduce these levels with carbimozol ( took it for 3 weeks instyead of 2 years) - but also started a fully raw diet with green juices every day.... the combo worked.
The doctors had told me that I would have to have my thyroid removed & be on hormone replacement for the rest of my life. Listen to yourself. Dont flatly believe what the doctors say... they know some things, things that have been taught to them - you know more about you than they do.
Read the 'who am I?' page in the 'about' section - has my story. There is some emotional work to do do... all sickness is the body's way of waving a red flag & saying "enough already!" If its your throat area thats waving the fag - there's probably some things you need to say... expression... fear of expression? All about facing the fear.. Anyway - any questions please email.
Hi Laroo
You're welcome! It's a great site isn't it although the general forums can get a bit iffy at times. I tend to stick to the Scotland group info :)
Shame about the next potluck, I hope you can make it x
Hi Laroo, welcome to the group and it's lovely to meet you. We have many similar interests! There is also a regular meet up group at meetup.com, the link is on the site here. Thanks for your comments on my food and I'm sure you are making some lovely raw goodies yourself.
xx

About Me:
I'm Laroo and I am new to raw-foodism. I have been an on-off veggie for about 10 years, and in the process of turning vegan. I am very keen to make the majority of the food I eat raw, and maybe move towards a wholly raw diet in time. Would love to learn more about the benefits of a raw diet.

I've never been able to like it, no matter what I've blended it with and how little I've used. And now I have setteled on that it is obviously not what my body wants. Just because someone says something works wonders for them does not mean that it...
I've finally decided to seriously take the plunge into raw veganism.
In August I was 100% raw vegan for 19 days but I went back to my sloppy vegetarian cooked diet. At least I've been vegetarian for over a year now. I'll never eat meat again, that...
many people who have been there have talked about it. I would rather be on the plane of bliss where everything I desire manifests/
How do you know as well? You dont?
Fuck, I love Shirley Manson & Courtney Love.
It's like we have gone backwards in the music world, there are no powerful female role models in music. Just women slutting it up in their underwear or getting all cute, with an inability to sing about...
