They've mastered the art of stopping just short of putting their foot in their mouth; barely keeping from getting in trouble for what they say, yet speaking out. If only we all could balance like these people, between the tipping points of saying ...
I can sympathise. Yesterday I took a 12 hour flight back from South Africa and hadn't packed enough food to keep me going. I relented and had a cooked vegan stew with rice. I spent most of yesterday, last night and parts of today doubled up in pai...
North Georgia is beautiful- lots of trees, nature, waterfalls- but I live a few hours south of there unfortunately, I live in the city but plan on moving this year- it's really not my type of place. I'm hoping to move closer to the outskirts of Florida where I have better access to the beaches, organic foods and more fun things to do and hopefully meet more open minded people. Where I live people are very closed minded about the smallest things.
thanks, I love your pictures as well- beautiful! Looks like you have alot of fun!I think the scenery you are referring to is in South Carolina- I actually live in Georgia though
What was the ah-ha moment?
I`ve always been a healthy eater, even when I worked in restaurants I was an executive cold larda Chef because I love working with fresh organic products.
Even though I thought I was healthy and knew about fresh zesty tastes it wasn`t until 2 years ago that I discovered raw food through a friend. A whole new world of possibilities then presented themselves to me, health wise and 'taste' wise. Creative juices flowing!
The ah-ha moment really was when I actually went back to cook food and felt physically really bad and the emotional part of going back and forwards until finding that balance through study and experience. This is why the chemistry -food balance has become so important to me and to our websites mission statement.
I'm actually pretty shy/introverted (even though some people would not believe me if they heard me say this), so I don't tend to join the meetups. I am in the meetup groups, but I just like to be involved from afar. However, I am starting to become more open to going to a future raw meetup this year. Or, we can meet at Nature's Pantry, Thrive, or Chaco Canyon Cafe sometime. Do you know any other people that enjoy raw/living foods? I have a couple friends that are dabbling.
I've been teaching yoga since 2000 and love what I do. Practicing yoga completely changed my life and continues to inspire me to expand in all areas of my life. The journey is grande!
I've dabbled in living foods and am now returning to the lifestyle 100%. It's very true that YOU are what you eat and it shows. Looking forward to the ever present glow!
I love people and making new friends and contacts. I enjoy all things healthy. I feel most alive when my body is in motion - dancing and yoga are my favorites. The world is my playground and I hope to travel to the ends of the earth to soak it all in. I am grateful for each and everyday I am blessed to be here.
