I have a Mango tree that is a cross between a Hayden (#1 Hawaiian backyard fruit) and a common yellow one. The flesh is orange inside, the skin just peels right off and the fruit has the best flavor of the many varieties I have tried. I have some...

Looks helpful, but not exactly a raw friendly site. I guided a wild foods tour recently and had many different people attend who say they go on similar hikes, but the guide doesn't know how to eat what foods raw.

Yes, wild Dandelion and Clover. No seed needed. I like juicing rosemary. Tastes very medicinal like a good cough syrup. Be careful not to put too much Rosemary. About a teaspoon or tablespoon full of fresh Rosemary is enough to spice up a pint of...

Yes, it does make a big difference. Hey, I have some small leaf Oregano here. Not quite the same as the large leaf Oregano I like.

I have mint too. Two different kinds. Spearmint and Water Mint. The Water Mint is like Chocolate Mint. I get more from a potted Mint plant than a bag of mint, and they seem to cost about the same price. Who'd have thought? I could use some large l...

Profile Information

About Me:
My name is pronounced "Key On Knee". Not to be confused with Keoni, Keanu, Kalani, Kiana, or other names that are spelled differently and have different meanings.

I first got the Essene Gospel of Peace Book 1 13 years ago and tried to eat strictly raw foods, but was unable to attain a raw vegan diet with that information alone.

I am a part Hawaiian dedicated 100% raw vegan. I have been involved with raw food for over five years. I completed the initial transition and detox with only the help of my Spirit Guide. I lived on a farm for a few months growing a lot of greens and planting trees. I have been a raw food chef for two years. I have developed quite an impressive array of personalized recipes during that period. I stumbled into some health complications caused by a specific raw food diet that wasn't as good for me as I thought. I recovered very quickly after consulting with a live-food practitioner. I am now involved with the more advanced strategies and techniques like fermenting, culturing, sprouting, juicing, and soil building. My recipes have changed dramatically now. They are not geared to please the masses like they used to. The benefits are unbelievable, though. Try it!

I reluctantly declare that Coconut Juice is my #1 superfood! Coconut Juice, yes it is a juice because it contains the properties of a juice and then some, is the closest thing in nature to human blood plasma, is the highest source of electrolytes from any raw food source, was once injected directly into the bloodstream by medical doctors, and replenishes male sexual fluids. When I drink the Juice from a Coconut, I immediately feel a burst of energy, an uplifted mood, and I can take on the world again.

Ever since the beginning I have always been working on some kind of experiment. It is always interesting. Sometimes it works, others no luck. My first experiment was to sprout a Coconut to the point where it would be big enough to enjoy as a dessert. Many more in between and to come. What's next? I'm excited just thinking about it.

I live on an acre of land on the lush, green side of Oahu in Hawaii, US. I have many different edibles growing here like cultivated Breadfruit(unfortunately hybridized), Papaya and Avocado, and wild Tomatoes, Noni and edible greens and herbs like Dandelion(tastes like Carrots!?). I am fortunate to have been born and raised in Hawaii Nei where Coconuts grow in abundance.

I have been waiting for years since my recovery for someone to boldly declare the principles for optimal health and performance. The videos from Brian Clement in my blog were totally profound to me. Summary: Eat as many sprouts as you can, then eat whatever else you need to that is in accordance with a vegan diet.
I single-handedly teach raw food classes, host raw vegan pot lucks and nature walks, and export high quality fresh young Coconuts and Coconut Sprouts, dried Chiku Sapote, and Vanilla Beans from Hawaii to the continental US and Alaska. Visit my website for details.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
I eat a lot of local and wild foods. Some of the foods I collect, pick, and gather now come from the properties of friends and relatives. By reaching out to more people, that may increase my chances of getting more variety in my diet. It seems like more people just want to know how I do it. Lately, I have noticed that people here recommend certain foods or combinations that get my attention and make me want to try them. Bring more ideas!

I live on an island that is highly desirable for raw food living, but needs support from everyone around the globe to really boost the amount of interest it deserves to get more locals, new residents, and visitors to be more dedicated to achieving and maintaining a balanced raw and living food diet, lifestyle and community.

I am looking for other people interested in building an intentional raw foods housing and farm community here on O'ahu in Hawai'i, USA. My partner is a licensed acupuncturist who can perform a wide variety of health treaments that are in conformity to a raw food diet and lifestyle and has done so for many years. She has been providing accomodations for people from all over the world, offering them gourmet raw food preparations with full service if requested, is growing a variety of tropical fruits that can be picked fresh and enjoyed on the spot, and she also offers the health treatments to them and has been doing that for a year now. Her property including a ozonated and "Granderized" swimming pool is used as a model to expand upon in creating the housing and farm community. More information is at this website. www.sproutingcommunity.synthasite.com

Sometimes when helping people on their path, answering their questions, or giving food preparation advice, I get really inspired. I can't sleep at night because of it. I enjoy that feeling. It makes me feel good about what I do. I wouldn't be able to feel that way if there was noone to connect with. I would like to make more raw friends and share some experiences and knowledge I have collected along the way.

Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
The amazing Coconut Sprout and the Cream surrounding it.
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
I enjoy bodysurfing crystal clear hollow waves in emerald-colored oceans on sandy beaches. I have gotten really good at it over the years. I've lived at Kailua Beach, which is known to be one of the 10 best beaches in the world, and have learned a lot about the movements and strengths of the waves. I learned to surf at age 11, but gave it up in high school due to the bad attitudes most surfers had towards life, others and each other. I starting bodysurfing later on and started really liking it because there ws nothing to get in the way between me and the waves and didn't have to deal with the surfer attitude. I find uncrowded surf breaks and spots, of course. I am now able to do tricks I never expected or dreamed of when I started like the double front flip of the backwash, the aerial double back flip with a one and a half twist, the front flip air drop, the lip flip, timber, the side flip, sidewinder, 360 floater, and the barrel roll.

The man who showed me The Essene Gospel of Peace recommended other books on mastermind techniques. I have always have had a strong mind in comparison to others around me, but I found the techniques mentioned helped me understand psychology much more and allowed me to use the principles to work with others better to achieve desired results. I was also able to use powers of mind to change my life in any direction I wanted it to. It may not seem like it to me, but when someone tells me they can't become a vegetarian because they don't have the willpower I wonder why and what's wrong. I realize that most people have very little control over their own minds, which can be a dangerous thing and lead to the destruction of everyone and the planet. I am thankful that I was searching for that info and was open to receiving and applying it. I don't think I would have been able to go 100% raw vegan alone while my associate fell back on old habits without the development of my mind.

Ever since I experienced the impact that the raw vegan diet has on me I have always wanted to share that with others one food at a time. I have yet to convert an omnnivore or vegetarian to a raw vegan, but I really like just sharing the foods. When I was a raw vegan gourmet chef that's all I would do, but making a job out of it got in the way. I am now able to send my precious, fresh, untreated, raw, non-irradiated Coconuts and Coconut Sprouts to people in the continental US and Alaska. I will be expanding my product line as I go along. Hmm. I just thought of something I could add. Take a look at my website. http://hawaiicoconut.webs.com

Seed Yogurt

To make Seed Yogurt I use two and a half cups of Seeds. All Sunflower
or half Sunflower and half White Sesame. I use two quart-size mason jars. 1
and 1/4 cups of seeds in each one. Add filtered water and submerge seeds. Age
for 36 hours. Rinse at least once in between. Pour into a strainer,
rinse very well. Rinse out jar. Put back in jar. Use a funnel if
needed.

I begin in the evening. On the second morning, 36 hours later, after
rinsing at least once, blend well with purified water or add some… Continue

Sauerkraut Recipe

To make sauerkraut, use a medium size head on cabbage. Carefully remove two of the outer leaves keeping most of them intact. Run the cabbage through a Champion Juicer or similar device with the blank plate. Place in a large bowl, put the two leaves on top, place a plate on that, and use a weight to keep pressure on it. Age for 2-5 days in warm weather and longer in cold weather. Remove weight and plate. There may be some visible mold present. Don't be alarmed. The two leaves that were used will… Continue

Fermenting Coconut Longer

Coconut can be fermented longer by fermenting in purified water instead of the Coconut Juice. Follow the same recipe, but age for about 24 hours. Be cautious with fermented foods as always.

Kiani, I just read some of your page, and I think The Body Ecology Diet might interest you, since you like fermented foods and coconuts--both of which are major parts of The Body Ecology Diet (the author strongly recommends coconut kefir (fermented), coconut cheese (also fermented), and coconut oil.
