If we ever do get to meet, I am more than willing to share a Coconut Sprout with you. You should try eating them a few times before using a lot of them to make a juice.
thank you too. =D how is it like being a raw foodist in hawaii?? i've been to oahu many times but not recently (especially not since being a raw foodist haha =D)
The Sprout growing inside is what I collected from 5 coconuts to make the juice yesterday. It is yellow on the outside and white on the inside. The juice is potent. Much stronger than just juicing the Coconut Meat. Coconut Sprout Juice tastes like the nectar from a nut!
Where do I get my fruits and veggies?
Well, I do shop at Down To Earth in Kailua, but I try to eat more wild and neighborhodd foods. I used to go door to door asking if the people there use their Coconuts, and I still do at times. I get a lot of fruit from places that my friends and relatives live and promote alternatives to chemical pesticides and fertilizers, warning of the proven dangers of their use around children and pets. I collect, husk and shell Macadamia Nuts all by hand. I just got a big basket of greens from my sister's garden this Holiday Season. I try to eat more of the low sugar fruits like cherry tomatoes from my grandmother's house or marketed bell peppers. The Chempedak, Jackfruit, Breadfruit, and Durian are king.
I began my journey about 4 years ago. I met a man who mentored me throughout this experience. The knowledge and values he has taught me i will never forget.
