hmmm. personally i wouldnt go with the goose-down pillows, unless i had collected the goose-down from my yard when it had been naturally shed by geese or ducks... i dont seem to be able to sleep well with any down materials, i feel like they give ...
doesnt taste good either. nor does kelp or especially bladderwrack. too bad :( cuz they are really mineral rich. but they seem like they would be hard for your body to break down they are so tough and rubbery. the only seaweed that seems to me to ...
hey are you talking about stuff you picked fresh off the beach/rocks, or stuff that comes in a package? my fresh stuff looks and acts nothing like the stuff that you can order online.... it doesnt absorb water like that one does, etc. i was intere...
Danny--its a seaweed, a certain type. you can google it to see what it looks like. its not a moss that grows in the forest or on land. it grows on the low-lying rocks and intertidal pools. if you are near the coast, you can also find dulse, kelp, ...
It is super rubbery. You would have to be really determined to eat it raw. I don't think it would really chew- it would be more like swallowing chunks. If you were really hungry or had a thyroid condition, or wanted to protect yourself from radiat...
Sorry I won't be of much help. But I'll be leaving for Ireland in 2 weeks. I wasn't aware that moss was a desired edible. I'll make sure to fill up by back pack with some while I hike.

How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
really seek community and support, particularly in my geographic area. looking to connect with others who are on the same "wavelength"; i.e. into raw vegan foods, organic gardening, sustainable living, etc and also those who are vegetarian or vegan for ethical reasons
Relationship Status:
Single
Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
DATES (esp. from The Date People). I could eat pounds of 'em :p oh yeah. and parsley. but not together ;p
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
animals (esp ponies,) and animal rights, anything OUTSIDE, growing (and eating ;) ) beautiful, healthy food, sailing (but only the little topper boats, the ones with the risk of tipping over...I find the other ones NO fun), walking with my pup (boxer) on the beach, spirituality/theology and philosophy, natural beauty, natural stuff and natural living (I LOVE natural materials i.e. wood, stone, etc.), meeting and hanging out with other raw fooders and/or vegetarians and vegans and making good food :) . Im also interested in and a bit intrigued by things like energy healing, tachyon energy, alchemy (i.e. ormus gold and that sort of thing), but also skeptical and a bit frightened. I think the world is so much deeper and richer than we realize and I would love to understand these potential forms of healing/etc better (but I do NOT believe in the philosophy of things like "The Secret."
Favorite Books or Authors:
Dominion: The Power of Man, The Suffering of Animals, and the Call to Mercy (Matthew Scully), Heart of the World (Hans Urs Von Balthasar), WENDELL BERRY, David L. Schindler, Andrew Linzey
Favorite Quote:
"Compassion can only attain its true breadth and depth if it embraces all living creatures and does not limit itself to mankind," (Albert Schweitzer(?)) and "God's love affair with the flesh does not end with the human species,": (Andrew Linzey)

wow that is so crazy! i cant believe they burn that trash! why are people so thickheaded???? i dont understand! Its just pure laziness! So i guess no where is perfect, but its definately a step up from this place! Atleast people get free college in ireland! hahahaha
i love your comment! we can be mad together :) you know whats funny? i just realized you live in ireland! that is so awesome! my boyfriend and i went there for vacation in october last year, and let me tell you something girl, i dont know if youve ever been to the united states, and if you havent, DONT! When we came to ireland, we were so unbelievably amazed! and youre probably like"oh whatever it sucks here" like most people say about where they live, but omg, everything is so clean and fresh and amazing! the animals arent on factory farms!!! they are hanging out enjoying their life on a damn mountian! We went to the gas station, and literally, im not kidding you, what they had to eat there would be considered at least 4 star food here!! It was so different, i want to move there so bad and get out of this hell hole. even the american products were different....im talking RADICALLY different! Capri sun here is like a package of nasty sugar with artifical "fruit" flavors and dyes. The capri sun there is pure orange juice!! what is that!!! thats awesome! hahaha. Im getting so carried away right now, sorry haha. Anyways, i just wanted to say thanks for the comment on my blog and im glad that makes you mad like me. and also, ireland so rules.
So funny!!! I just popped on, see your profile pic. Love it! Is that from the trip you took a few months ago? You look like quite the traveler. (And your dog looks fine from what I can see!) xoxo Eva
That is unfortunate that you aren't a bit closer! I'm also an American grad student, etc. living out here. How long have you been in Ireland? What's the story?
hehehe....the source of this energy?...lol....it's the source of all energy. nothing to be scared of. but you can be if you want to be....8^))...it won't hold it against you.
neither wins because the world isn't fair- and we are constantly having to deal with it. the more conscious you are the more you see how unethical people rule the world and you can't wish them away by feeding your happiness with cacao. it's a fun ...
How long did 50lbs last you? A week? I would recommend that a person get some greens to go along with their bananas.. did you forage for any greens that week?
Wow Id like to hear more on this from other people as well. I am not sure where to get info on things like this either- I just know my personal experience with a low carb diet. I still believe in low carb for the most part but plant based live foo...
That is a good point Angus. I have found that a lot of fundamentalist religions accuse everyone else of worshiping the devil and it like a blind hysteria- like all these other people have a black bible in their house and secretely worship a statue...

Yeah really that was just my negative response to Arnold Ehret's book from an emotional standpoint. I just found it lacking in completion. There's good logic in it though.
First there'sDr . J. Tilden's book on the cause of disease. Toxemia Explai...
The dates for 2010 are now on the website. Last year no one wanted to leave the island, so this year we are doing 10 day retreats!!

You know, I'm aware that we made some groundbreaking discoveries in recent years ...
I'm not going to comment on climate change. But i will comment on carbon trading. Because they can produce such a consciousness of fear out of global warming - they are able to manipulate markets much more severely - and they seem to get away with...
