Hey there, thanks for having me!

I like your display picture.

It can take a while for me to make my rounds on here, but thought I would say hello.

Wishing you good health and a good day!

Hey Katie,
I was wondering how you manage to mix the principles of Ayurveda with Raw foods. I am supposed to follow a vata-pacifying diet for my disorder. Although raw foods are not supposed to be on there... I feel as though its fine for me - long enough to heal - perhaps 6 months or a year. I will know it when I need to add some cooked food.

BUT I am wondering about how you manage to take room temperature raw food. Do you leave your fruits and veggies outside or how do you do it? If I have to do green smoothies, I am going to have to use warm water. hmm.

That's a pretty typical scene in a high fruit household. That an a ton of bananas. My dryer next to the washer has stacks of fruit carts on it. :)

Right--it's good in smoothies too. It's a necessity when there's no fruit in there!

In water with a twist of lemon or lime, in teas, in water (with flavored stevia), and with millet or quinoa.

Hi Lizz, I haven't tried yacon; I think it's still too sweet, technically. I believe stevia is truly the only natural sweetener that is not a form of sugar. When I add vanilla flavor and a little coconut oil to the stevia, it's kind of like maple...
