I LOVE this topic. haha!
The way most people have sex, no it is not cardio. But yes you can make it so. And it can also count for some strength and flexibility if you get into creative positions. :D
That article made a claim that is outright false - saying that of centenarians, there aren't even any vegetarians. My great aunt Eva is 102 and she has been vegetarian for many decades.
"It's not our fault we can't work."
BS. I know there is debate about "fat genes" and such, but if you are that obese, it is 100% your fault. Maybe my opinion is too harsh because I have never been more than 130 lbs. But people who are dependent o...
I have been interested in nutrition since I was a teenager, and I have a bachelor degree in nutrition science from UC Davis. Looking back, my coursework was filled with the typical institutional view of nutrition. I still enjoyed it and felt that I gained much from it, but I still sought more. Honestly, I was always seeking a way to make myself look younger and prettier, but through completely natural means.
I recently changed my diet to be raw-organic-vegan (as much as reasonably possible) in hopes of attaining a new level of health and well-being. First, I opted for all organic food in September 2008, and I started becoming raw in December 2008. Finally, I became vegan in February 2009 when I realized that animal foods exacerbated my eczema (and who wants to be itchy, right?). I am enjoying the positive effects that raw organic vegan foods are bringing into my life (increased sense of well being, enhanced mental clarity, improved mood and emotional stability, and the complete erasure of PMS from my life), and I hope to find still more benefits as I continue my journey.
Some "regular" information about me: I am in my 20s, never married, no children.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
I am particularly interested in effective methods of detoxing, as I am still transitioning

I work in the Automobile Industry as well and feel unsettled about it too. I bicycle commute everyday now so that makes me feel like I am doing good for our earth. When it comes down to it we can never be perfect but each little step helps.
well, then I think you got all the info you need to start a group or go to the Ojai one. These groups meet about once a week. Ojai meets each Friday, I think. Not too far to drive. Give it some thought. I love our group and have learned a lot about how to prepare food from the members. Greg
Kat, the good ol' internet, via google. They use Meetup.com and this works well. But it all started as a potluck. So if you don't have a raw foods group, you can start a potluck with some friends and have it evolve. Meet at the park first then try houses. But you can also go to other raw groups. You live in LA county, I think? I live in Santa Barbara and we are on the web, so could come up here to one of ours to see how to get one going. There's a group in Ojai near Ventura that would love to have you, as we would. I could introduce you. We have some very nice people who are great chefs. But the point is that it's well worth doing and not so hard to start. Get others to help. Let me know if you need more infor. Look up our group at http://www.meetup.com/raw-food/

I'm not going to comment on climate change. But i will comment on carbon trading. Because they can produce such a consciousness of fear out of global warming - they are able to manipulate markets much more severely - and they seem to get away with...

I've started this group in order to find and link with people who eat raw food in and around London too. We can share ideas and books, meet up for potlucks and even go out for meals together
In the past couple of days, I have had some ugly and unwelcome visitors knock on my door. Their shadows have darkened my doorway, and these guys really want to be heard!
When your “demons” come knocking at your door, and you are forced to look at...
