hey kait, yes I have been following the mucusless diet for a long time now. whether or not the foods one eats are raw, the diet that is mucusless is a diet composed of water-based fruits and vegetables. water is a friend :) what about you?
It's going well. I'm in an outpacient program 3x a week but I convinced them to let me bring my own food! I don't think the program is helping me much as I really can't relate to the other girls there but it's making my parents happy and I only have 2 more weeks. As far as raw I have been able to stay very high raw with some cooked legumes and occasional steamed veggies.
Thanks for asking :)

I know exactly what you mean. It's really tough finding quality produce at cheap prices around here. Rather ironic considering we're known as "the Garden State." I was just at Basic Foods earlier this evening. I love the fact that all the fruits and veggies are organic, but ugh, they are really pricey in there. Honestly, I do a lot of my produce shopping in NYC, usually at Westerly.
There's supposed to be a decent farmer's market in Paramus, but that's quite a drive. It's a damn shame there isn't something like that in Hoboken. Jersey City has one in Hamilton Park on Wednesdays, but it's laughingly pathetic. Don't even waste your time.
Welcome Kait! We appreciate you being here with us and would suggest that you just jump right into the community! This is a warm space so there is no reason to be shy at all. Make friends, start a blog post, create a group, or post questions on the forum page. Enjoy!
OMG
steamed? I needed a nutcracker to open them and it was really hard to get them opened. You think? My pristine lips touched something that was steamed>??
My grandmother turned me on to this one.
What about that little rock poppy segment in the middle that doesnt quite fit in with the rest of it?
Its beautiful though, 80's ruled the world of great sappy songs.
Writing is very healing for me. It brings out my soul and allows it to shine. Writing is beneficial in many ways. I will write more about this later. =)
Ive fallin for a couple of gay friends before myself.
No Ive never seen this video before, but Ill watch it now.
Wait, should I, or will I end up always thinking of the video every time I hear the song?
Not sure if I should watch it now.
We know the holiday season can be busy, with lots of parties and gatherings. Most of these events serve up sugary, artificial, and/or unhealthy foods making it especially hard to stay with a raw or vegan diet.
So, come and celebrate the holidays ...
I certainly believe you. I have just only seen them steamed or boiled at TJs so this is especially exciting to me that they have nice bags of raw ones to buy.
it was me being incredulous in a good way.
