falling off the wagon -- HELP!

hey all, i made it for the specified amount of time nearly 100% raw (ok so i had a few beers and some 70% chocolate -- not in the same day!) but in the past week i have totally rebounded to cooked foods and junk and i can just feel the extra weight suctioned to my middle and how clogged up i feel. I NEED HELP!!

every day i say i'm going to go back to eating raw but cooked food has been calling my name and i have no self-control anymore. what do i do?!?

vegetables are good

There's nothing like the feeling you get from eating vegetables. I feel renewed, refreshed, and revitalized. While on the days where I don't eat enough vegetables, I am painfully aware of it, and feel miserable. I know I am eating too many nuts and seeds and not enough vegetables... and I'm feeling the pain.

day 24 of raw food adventure

Not alot has changed since my last post, I haven't lost any more weight :( but maybe next week. It may be because I'm getting more adventurous with recipes and eating alot of my creations. Hopefully it won't impact my waistline too much by the time I'll weigh myself again. I'm also thinking about experimenting with some superfoods or supplements. I'm in love in my food processor!

If you don't have a food processor yet, buy one! I have been using a regular blender to make sauces and stuff, and I quit because it never turned out the right consistency, took a long time, and my blender was starting to smell.

I got up the guts to use my mom's super expensive and complicated food processor today, and let me tell you, I am blown away. It took me three minutes to make raw almond butter (not including the germinating time :) and another minute to make an amazing raw asi… Continue

day 14 -- another 2 pounds lost!

Hey all! Another week has gone by and I lost another 2 pounds this week. So far, it's been 7 pounds in 2 weeks. I call that a success!! I'm sure some of you are wondering what kind of food I eat and what my meals consist of. Let me fill you in:

I'm pretty particular to the meal combining, at least in the beginning of the day, so I normally have a few servings of fruit for breakfast.

I prefer blending because you get the fiber, cellulose, and this also slows down sugar absorbtion, when you juice you lose fiber and waste food/ingredients. Blending is much more like eating, depending on what you are juicing you may be getting too much sugar too quickly. Gabriel Cousens MD did serious research and found that blending is better. And I agree...also when you drink your blended smoothies Gabriel found that if you act like you are "chewing" your body/stomach will secrete more digestive juices and enzymes to properly digest and assimilate what you are drinking, he did experiments and research with thousands of people to find this info out.:) I can't respond to Discussions because of my computer/Explorer/GITMR, etc.

How's it going on your 40 day raw challenge? I know how you feel about the not losing weight thing. I've been about 70-75% raw for about a month now and haven't lost a pound. I;m getting so frustrated. I keep reading how everyone loses weight or needs to gain weight. I wonder if I have to be 100% raw to lose weight? I would like to be 100%, but I'm new to this and it's been a little difficult. How about you?

So, you want a better version of you, huh. Well, I don't know if I have good advice, but I believe the best version of you is already there within you. Everyone is born with the seed of greatness. And I'm not just ranting a cliche here. I truly believe that. You were created in God's image (no, no, I'm not going to get all religious here, trust me. God and religion don't necessarily mix). In other words, the seed of Gd or Greatness is already within you. All you need to do is nurture that seed and let it grow. Key is how to not choke that seed and prevent it from blossoming. Blessing to you.

After the third or fourth day I seem to function better then when I am eating heavy meals. My last fast I was walking eveyday. I just feel great when I am fasting.
