Does anybody know of any springs with fresh drinkable spring water in central Florida? I live between Daytona Beach and Orlando. I couldn't find any springs on findaspring.com.

My body odor was gone as soon as I lowered my fat intake. This has been well documented by many including Dr. Dean Ornish. Coincidence? I don't think so. That being said I hear what you are saying. If you eat tons of onions and garlic, you will c...

Sweet smelling sweat and/or urine is a warning sign for prediabetes. Perhaps you should get your blood sugar levels checked and consider eating a lower sugar diet?

Wild game is not "low in fat" there are the organs such as brains, eyeballs, tongue, kidneys, bone marrow, and storage fat areas such as mesenteric (gut) fat.

The only reason I commented the last comment because frankly, I'm busy, and don't have time for your bullshit justifications of breathatarianism. Stop wasting your time and mine, and stop commenting on my site. One would hope that if someone calls your a fucking idiot, you have enough sense to leave them alone.

Thank you for discussing cholesterol with me. I believe that the information I have on the topic is correct. I suggest that if you doubt mainstream opinion you debate it with the relivant expert, who will be able to provide you with all the facts. Please do not post on my profile about this any more.

Please do not put large number of paragraphs of information on my profile, past a link or message me.

The Masai reported a high-fat, low-carbohydrate dietary pattern.
The rural Bantu reported a low-fat, high-carbohydrate dietary pattern.
The urban Bantu reported a high-fat, high-carbohydate dietary pattern

Observe both higher fat groups have higher TC. All groups have TC >150 which is quite elevated and places all groups at some risk. The association between fat intake LDL and mortality is very well demonstrated in Western populations. However exercise can help to reduce LDL substantially, which may help some of these remote populations.

My TC is sub 100, that is really "low cholesterol". You only see these kind of figures in people with very low fat intakes, which could include hunter gatherers, but it is more typical of peoples with minimal fat intake, i.e. where animal product consumption is minimal or not at all such as rural Chinese with TC as low as 94 mg/Dl. These findings are far more relivant to Western people vs those from remote African populations.

I don't count calories, Just eat the right foods, 2 or 3 meals a day and that should be enough for everyone.

You said "I remember you posted something a while ago using George Mann's studies of Athersclorosis in the Masai as if to imply that they are not really healthy but that kind of selected citation doasn't hack it." And I agree that 1 citation isn't very compelling, quite prone to mistakes, it could even mislead.

However, it hacks it a lot better than speculation. What I think we do know is that wild game is low in fat, to the point where it will not elevate cholesterol dangerously. My suspicion is those tribes that use more dairy are the ones at risk.

But thanks for pointing this out.

Jonathan,

Debbie Took asked me to forward this message to you. It looks like she is having technical issues with this site and wanted to respond to your message.

'Hi Jonathan. Sorry but technical problems mean I can't reply to your message. But you can contact me via the Contact Form at the rawforlife.co.uk website, where I will be happy to answer.'

There are a few Jonathans on here so hopefully I got the right one. She said you were from Florida.

Cheers,

Cam
