my partner is at La'Akea on the Big Island and he told me about a nearby raw community called Pangaia. That would be a great place for you to do a work exchange. Not exactly local, but definitely a vacation in a place you can live outdoors. I hope...

i'm pretty sure they said there was camping on-site, for an additional fee. it's a gorgeous location and i hope to attend this year. I need to manifest a lot of money before then so i can afford to leave for a few weeks from Seattle.

b12 is naturally occurring on the surface of fresh organic fruits and vegetables. We don't need all that much of it, so if you have access to raw tree fruit that you can pick yourself or get from a farmer who hasn't washed the fruit, you can obtai...

i use the 16 oz. bottles because i can fit 4 of them into a small cooler which is easy to take to work. The Synergy bottles also fit into my car's cup holder. I think the mason jar idea is cute, very "grassroots"...but i can't imagine myself drink...

i have experimented on myself over the past year, and discovered how certain foods trigger psychological symptoms in me. I could not have accomplished this without being strictly 100% raw for an entire year, to thoroughly cleanse my system of all ...

During 2008, i found my way to a simple 100% raw lifestyle that is easy to maintain and brings me great peace and clarity. I also discovered that living this way is never static, and i should fully expect to go through periods of time when i need ...

Profile Information

About Me:
100% raw since June 2007, mostly 80/10/10 style unless i'm freezing, in which case i eat more fats. This diet has changed my life completely--i have never been more peaceful, happy, aware, potent and creative in all my life.

I am a proponent of Living Nutrition above all, and i believe that dried raw foods and supplements are best used as secondary nutritional sources. I know this because i can see and feel the difference in my appearance, energy and demeanor when i'm high on the light of living foods. I also see it reflected in others when they respond to my vibration.

I do eat quite a bit of cacao. I think it helps me survive the lack of sunshine in Seattle. I also do yoga once or twice a day and this helps me to stay 100% raw. I love being in shape and having lots of energy to dance all night, and the creative inspiration to write, paint or make music. Overcoming depression, anxiety, mood swings and anger has given me my innocence back and life is beautiful again. I delight in growing my own food and sharing it with my children.

I teach classes in raw food preparation in the Seattle area and will soon expand to include Portland and Vancouver. Please visit my blog, linked below, for information about what i'm teaching and when. I am also on the board of directors for the Raw Network of Washington (http://www.rawwashington.org) and i'm working to build that resource as a hub for the community in the Pacific Northwest. I hope that what we have done with this organization will inspire similar groups in other areas to create such a network for their local community.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
At this point, i feel like i have way more to offer than i need from others, but i'm sure i will go through my cycles and need some moral support when i eat a cookie or something.

Actually, since i've just launched a business as a raw lifestyle coach, if anyone has any advice for me in that vein, i would very much appreciate it.

Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
green smoothies!
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
writing, painting, drawing comics, making music (dubstep, trance, techno with Ableton Live) or DJing. I love dancing to all of the above music and do that as much as i possibly can. I practice yoga and will be going through teacher training sometime in the next couple of years. I read and write a lot, and i also make clothing and jewelry sometimes, but my interest seems to come and go with the seasons. At this point, i am focusing on the creative talents that best support my lifestyle and inspire others in the community. What i am most passionate about right now is building community around sustainable food production and energy use. I am in the beginning stages of learning how to grow my own food and am researching intentional communities in the Pacific Northwest. My partner is currently in Hawaii studying permaculture and natural building, and when he returns we will be aligning our skills and passions to create community together.

hi stacey, I was doing Hatha Yoga, that involves asanas, prayanama, bandha and mudras. Apart from yoga we were taught Anatomy, Psychology, Philosophy etc., so that the students of this course could teach yoga and take it as a profession later.
