- Spent two years ramping up to 100% raw. Was roughly 75% for one year, then 85-90% for another. Finally made the official commitment to 100% in mid-September 2008 -- and already feel the difference!

Checking out Senbeb Cafe in D.C. tomorrow (Sat., June 27). Wanna join us?
I've heard some pretty great things about Senbeb Cafe in Washington, D.C. (6224 3rd St. NW., Wash. DC 20011). We will have a huge feast with my wife's family. They are vegetarian. I will likely fill up on salad and maybe make myself some raw brownies, or similar, as treats. I was also thinking about making some sort of raw pecan/date pecan pie replacement.
I may partake of some non-raw veggie food as well, I'll just see how the spirit moves me when I get to it. In any case, it will be a lot of fun. We are in the new farmhouse now and Angie will have a lot of fun showing everyone around. It's always great to sit around, talk, laugh and just enjoy each other's company!
How about you and your two lovely girls? How is Wendi doing by the way, I've been thinking about her a lot recently and just hoping she is doing well.
Oh yeah and ALSO, since I will have some time off work (yay! finally!) I will be working on writing up beginning on my raw journey for you. :)

Sonoma is an awesome little town, very central to everything, yet tucked into it's own little valley...very pretty. There are many raw friendly resources around here. Cafe Gratitude, Seed (Yummmm), great raw potlucks all over with awesome speakers, San Francisco, the ocean, even Living Light if you want a get away up the coast :). i love short hair so that I could keep it clean all the time and i was in navy(NCC) sometime ago and have been habituated to this hairstyle
Once you already have a cold, the best way to deal with it is to eat as little as possible and get as much rest and sleep as you can.
The best way to prevent a cold are to eat foods that are minimally toxic. That means eating mostly fruits and vegetables. Organic if possible. Raw. Fresh.
What also helps is getting plenty of rest and sleep. As much as you need.
