Hi! I was wondering if I could obtain some advice from you; I'll be travelling to Bergen and Oslo over the holiday season and I wondered if there were any amazing raw food restaurants, hotels, or retreats you could recommend? Thanks for your advic...
Ok, Ok, once my copy of 'Simply Raw' finally arrives, I will be planning a raw info/documentary/pot luck evening at the Galway Social Space - so keep your ears to the ground!
Heya Jessamine
Hope this finds you great. Sorry took it me ages to get back to ya, I have a love/hate relationship with the computer : )
And thanks for the facebook friendship
I'm looking forward to the raw food evening, I haven't hosted any but I got an email of Naasha saying there are pot lucks in Dublin, perhaps you could check one out or ask her for advice.
I'd love to help you with the event. I tend to space out my visits to Galway so whenever you decide, I'll plan around that.
Hi there,
I hope you end up doing a Pot Luck, they are brilliant fun. Thought I'd drop by and say Hi anyway...Hope u are enjoying the rain as much as I am ;)
Your work sounds incredible. oh yes, seaweeds :D.... oh my~~~ how i would have loved to have them. i would love love love a seaweed salad or wrap.
am mostly fruitarian here and it is natural for me. Yes i know how you can be plagued by the situation in the country, especially if you have not been familiar with it.
am lucky to be staying and living in Calcutta as organic fresh produce in plenty here. yes Indian dishes are so sadly overcooked... well. wish things got better and people could utilise being more raw.
Every place has its own blessing. You have so many great stuff to access there. Raw chocolate...yumm. i would die for them as special treats. seriously.
yes mangoes are fantastic here. they have just arrived. and soon there will be so much more. i love jackfruits too. they are really rare these days though they were plenty more when we were children.
i do like a good and fresh salad though and wild foraging is so much fun. it is really wonderful when you are in the mountains. Yes, I have been to Nepal but that was ages back.
tell me more about your work. it sounds so interesting :)
thats incredible how you have been to so many places :)
No it is seriously easy to be raw in Kolkata than most places in India I should say. Kerala is fine too. I loved the raw supply in Bangalore as well. but in most other places i guess it could be difficult in some ways.
that is great that you'll be going home to boston, I'm happy for you. perhaps you can check out the grezzo restaurant while you are there, maybe bring some people and convert them, I heard its nice and posh. NY has a huge raw scene aswell, I want to visit pure food & wine when I visit my aunt there later this year.
I don't kno any raw food people in galway but do kno some health conscious people who'd enjoy the evening and some friends of mine who'd like dinner with a difference.
I'm learning and doing everything possible to become completely raw.
More often than not, I'm travelling to or from Dublin and I'm constantly working. I am fascinated by how technology can be used to nourish our bodies and minds, but I'm also always looking for ways of (re)integrating our bodies into our experiences of ourselves and the world. Most of all, I would like to support, learn from, and add to this community however I can.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
In practically every way at the moment - just call me 'sponge'!

hi gia! THANK YOU for the input :) also i'm curious, do you rest the entire time? if you're taking care of your family, you must be up and about.
what are your thoughts on living a normal life, working while doing this?
I haven't had cable for nearly 2 years, BUT I LOVE...

I just watch the new episodes on my computer.
He's still my hero, but I heard the guy was tyrannical and cruel to his family and co-workers. Marlon Brando talked about what a douchebag he was in his book; still though, comic genius.
OK, I guess to me getting rid of anger and envy and fear in ones self before being able to externalize it on a corporate scale just seems common sense as opposed to religious. Is that really religious? Or is it just that he is a Yogi addressing th...
Rome was AWESOME, another fantastic HBO series. True Blood is also pretty cool, but I read the books so it's bittersweet for me. Did anyone else catch Carnivale? That was really well done as well.
