This is so true! I've noticed myself becoming more present in the moment lately and less foggy, scatter brained or that weird feeling of being on auto pilot. Thanks for sharing.

Very true. I have been known to over analyze things. I used to be so unhealthy about 4 years ago because I ate very low fat, high protein, high dairy and no nutrient dense food. I had low body fat but felt horrible all the time and wasn't getting ...

Raw egg yolks may help you. Raw egg yolks have 24% of their calories from protein, whereas almonds, the highest protein nut, have only 13% of their calories from protein. Also, raw egg yolks are a superfood and their own right, and they are a comp...

Think less, feel more. What you may or may not need to eat, in this moment, does not have any rule or thought based upon what you need now. All you need to do, to feed your body, is to feel, what would satisfy it now, breathe slower, and lower in ...

80% carbs, 10% protein, and 10% or less fat. Carbs= fruit for a lot of people on this diet. If you want/need more protein, you could use spirulina. It always helps me feel more grounded, and not get hungry all the time,. SOme people need more pro...

What exactly is 80/10/10? I've seen a lot of people post information on it. Is it all vegetables and fruits? I'll check out the book at my local bookstore or half.com....

your question is just begging to be 80/10/10ed lol. try it out, it might work for you. all you really need is a functioning pancreas and an active lifestyle. also a willingness to push through the detox, and wisdom to pull out if detox turns into ...

when I eat more greens, I dont crave fats as much.

Your body doesn't need protein, it needs amino acids extracted from the protein. Every fruit and vegetable is filled with amino acids. You don't need huge quantities either.

As Rawstrength said, I wouldn't worry about the fat. At first. Transitioning to a raw diet, you will crave foods that give you a heavier feeling to feel more "full". Once you notice that you can't go on eating as much fat anymore (maybe that's whe...

Don't worry about overdoing it on the fat. It is unnatural to eat protein without fat. Dairy naturally has both protein and fat. So do nuts, seeds etc.

How do I incorporate raw without overdoing it on the fat?

I'm finding it hard when I'm at work and on the go to eat foods that are healthy and protein rich but without too much fat. I usually makes green smoothies or juices, eat apples and other fruits, soaked nuts, almond butter, more nuts, various salads with avocado, veggies and NO dairy. I'm finding it hard to eat lower fat... since I'm eating a lot of nuts and nut butters, I'm just not sure what else to do to get enough protein. Am I under the illusion that I even need more protein? Could be! I do… Continue

Has anyone grown an indoor garden?

I would absolutely love to have a garden with fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers but I live in an apartment so for now, it's a no go. Has anyone grown a small herb or mini vegetable garden indoors? Any suggestions or tips on whether this works and if so, what type of herbs or veggies work best?

Which foods and drinks make your eyes water and nose run?

I've noticed when I drink coffee, alcohol or eat dairy and other non-raw foods, my eyes seem to water and my nose runs, sore throat, etc. Is this due to a food sensitivity or my bodies way of dealing with the toxins? Has anyone had these symptoms before and if so, which food groups are more susceptible?

Once you already have a cold, the best way to deal with it is to eat as little as possible and get as much rest and sleep as you can.

The best way to prevent a cold are to eat foods that are minimally toxic. That means eating mostly fruits and vegetables. Organic if possible. Raw. Fresh. What also helps is getting plenty of rest and sleep. As much as you need. And then all the...

I believe that the natural state of the body is health, and that it is always trying to get 'there'. This thread makes me think of "The Right Use of Will" series by Ceanne DeRohan. Anybody ever read any of those books? If you have, message me......
