I'm just a happy Momma to two beautiful girls, working on getting back to raw with my husband. I have many deep-seeded food addictions to overcome from my past, so consistently eating healthfully is very challenging for me. However, the more and more people that I connect with, the more I realize that I'm not alone. I'm so thankful to be learning and (slowly, but surely) overcoming my issues with food.

Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
sometimes I just like a nice, crispy, fuji apple, and sometimes I like a full-on gourmet dish or even a crazy ice-kream sundae - that mood thing, you know?
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
reading any non-fiction and especially textbooks, anatomy and bodywork, neuroscience and biopsychology skydiving/tunnel flying, scuba diving, running (hopefully a marathon someday!), hiking until my feet burn, screaming on the beach, dancing my arse off, loving anyone who needs love, drawing/scribbling/doodling, my amazing family, intense and crazy music, thinking deeply, goal planning, journaling, great finds at thrift stores, magical somethings, kissing in the rain, having time to myself to drink tea, hot baths/hot springs, creating beautiful food, taking candid photos and catching that perfect shot, birthdays, hats, volleyball, trying to get as much sleep as possible with two small children, having passion for my work, in my life, and just all around and within me, plants and gardening, getting my hands dirty, good movies, road trips with the windows down, washing dishes when I'm stressed out, fantasizing about traveling around the world on a sailboat for the rest of my life
Favorite Books or Authors:
Any non-fiction, really, and especially science texts; books that have inspired me as well: Conversations with God, Celestine Prophecy, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, Choose Your Own Adventure books, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, the Tao, Walden, Be Here Now, the Harry Potter books, anything by Mark Twain, Henry Miller, Tolkien, Shel Silverstein, Dr. Suess, and just about all of my kids' books
Favorite Quote:
"Follow. But. Follow only if ye be men of valour, for the entrance to this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel that no man yet has fought with it and lived. Bones of full fifty men lie strewn about its lair. So, brave knights, if you do doubt your courage or your strength, come no further, for death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth." Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Hi Jeannie! Thanks for the comment! Your family also is beautiful. You look familure to me... have you checked out the raw vegan village in Ojai? I think I might have seen a family that is joining that community online that looks a lot like yours. Great pics!
thanks for the comment. Lately I have felt a real urgency to do something purposeful with my life and maybe quit my job etc. So I am trying so hard to just set my intention and pass it over to the universe and am in the midst of many life decisions. Being a mommy must be extremely fulfilling!! Beautiful babies!!
hello... i've been on the lookout for raw folks in Denver, hehe! i teach raw food classes in Highlands Ranch and the Denver metro area… i'd love to connect. do you ever go to the raw potlucks in Denver?
Hi, Jeannie! I totally understand how the "wee beasts" as we call them in my house can drive you crazy. 21 months is a magical time for your older one. My younger will hit that milestone this week. Hang in there and definitely take a little mommy time. It's a must.

Sounds ridiculous to me. Anyone actually older and experiencing longevity there? I doubt it. I live out in the country in the general direction of God's fart zone and perhaps that's better than getting caught up in this sort of materialistic stuff...
hi honey,
we did an experiment in school with ear candles. we set up one with a real person, followed directions perfectly...set up another the same way but instead of putting it in someones ear we just held it against a pillow...both candles had...
they gossip about which teams are going to trade or sign star players. Most of it is bullshit. They just create rumors to sell papers / get hits. Still I eat it up.
Hi agree with Erin, everything she suggested is very similiar to wha ti have found.
I am also seeing an accupuncturist and realize that we actually need cooked foods in our diet to support the spleen.
Healing with whole foods is a great start..
I've been doing some "research" on ear candling, and have found three different reports:
1) it's great, feels great, and really helps to clear out the sinuses/lymphs
2) it feels great, but that's just the warmth and it doesn't actually do anything...
