Sounds amazing! I've never actually had raw cacao butter, is it pricey?

Thank you, yes I will try that, I just need to get hold of some organic oranges.

Hiya, sounds delicious. I think you could try dehydrating orange peel that has a little agave or honey on it for the candied version?

I can sympathize. My husband eats a typical American diet of whatever the heck he wants. Making two dinners every night does get tiring! However, a funny thing starts to happen when you make a raw dinner and a regular crappy dinner; the regular cr...

Hey Jannike :) How are you these lovely summer days ??

I'd love to meet you :))

After successful graduating at The Slovak Athletic High School I've moved to Norway to open new doors to life and I'm looking for liked-minded people :) and right now I live in Oslo.

I'd be really very very pleased to meet you :)

Blow lots of refreshing ENERGY to you :))

Profile Information

About Me:
I went to a raw-food weekend in an eco-village in the autumn 2008, since then I have been eating mostly raw food. I enjoy cooking, experimenting with food, making my own recipes. I also enjoy to read books about food. I have been living on mostly vegetarian food for more than 20 years, eating some seafood once in a while.
Food is a main interest for me, I enjoy cookinjg and some time ago I bought a dehydrator, to be able to try out more recipes.
I have felt a great effect on my general level of energy after I started to eat mostly raw food. I am also more patient and smile and laugh a lot more - I simply feel happier.
I work in a small ethical savings bank, (have you heard about social banking?) and I am very happy to work in such a supportive and eco-friendly environment. I also write for our magazine, I even had an article about raw chocolate and an other about the raw-food weekend seminar I attended.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
I felt like stepping in to the unknown, when I suddently decided to go raw. It is quite challenging to cook for a family when only one of us i(me) s really comitted to raw food, the others accept to eat some raw food, but also want to have some cooked dishes. I feel that I need to be able to vary my rawfood recipes more, so my family will enjoy the raw food as much as I do.
One thing that disappoints me somewhat, is that I had expected to lose some weight after the transition to raw food. OK, maybe I lost 2 or 3 kg, and I think that my body has changed somewhat, that I maybe have got less fat around the middle, but still. Isn't it normal to shed more weight? when you go raw ( I used to eat a quite healthy mostly vegetarian diet.) My BMI is somewhere in the upper part of the normal range. What is a "normal" BMI for a raw-foodist? Weightloss is not that important, I feel quite good about my body, but it would be practical to have maybe 10 kg less to carry around. I would appreciate some good ideas about shredding some kg's with raw-food.
I want to be part of this community to feel that I have made a normal, sensible choice about my eating habits (as I know very few raw-foodists in my own circles I sometimes feel like a strange animal in a Zoo when I go out with friends on a restaurant and ask for a plate of raw vegetables).
Relationship Status:
Married
Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
I love to taste new recipes and have no particular favorite.
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
BookCrossing, reading, music (mostly classical), learning Russian, health, nutrition, generally I love to learn new things, and I think the web is a splendid invention, especially if you are living in a small country (like me) - you can always find somebody in the web-community who shares your particular interests.

Larabars are 100% raw (well, most of them) and they're really good. Think Organic bars are raw and organic. You'll get twice the Larabar for less money, but they're both really good.

Please share your easy desserts. I've finally gone 100% raw, but I'm having a hard time staying way from candy... (I haven't caved yet) I'm looking for desserts that don't need nuts as I'd like to eat them after dinner. Thanks!
