Loren, as an example, how many and how long fasts in such surroundings as you are offering is enough to totally clean out a person coming directly from SAD eating? I know there are no exact numbers...

It sounds like you've had quite a journey yourself and have the advantage of being well-connected to your body -- something that many of us really have to foster to create as we've become so detached from it.
And I understand your situation, and would be glad to help a little bit, if possible. We recently made a special offer to existing clients and I'd be glad to pass it along to you, and perhaps to everyone else here as well. Here it is: If you can make even a $1000 deposit, you can save 20% off of our already low rates, and lock in our current low rates on all future fasts forever, regardless of what happens to our prices. And if there's any way to raise some money Now, you can save 25% with full payment...but only for a little while. We've got some improvements planned and only a little while to make them before we reopen, so this offer has a limited life... Let me know if interested and we can discuss details.

Hi Isabel,
I am happy to answer amiga; I'm here to help in any way I can.
I eased into excellent choices; I began studying nutrition in 1977, and made some significant changes then, finally gave up animal products and all processed foods ten years later, and then went raw in 1991.
I had developed chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, candidiasis, chronic sinusitis, and 57 allergies in 1984 (probably an 8 on your scale), and after 3 years of getting worse with medicine/medical care I figured out that if I wanted to be healthy, I would need to figure it out myself. I actually got much healthier just giving up animal products and processed foods, but I also realized that there was still "more" available -- more vitality, more balance, more energy, more mental clarity, etc.
I'd been trying to figure out what was natural for the human body, but it wasn't until I overheard someone say "raw food" at a health conference that I connected the dots. I learned about fasting around the same time and started doing that as well, also around ' 91. By 1995, I had been 100% raw for 4 of years and had already fasted many times for a week, and 4 times for 2 - 3 weeks. At this point, I would say that I was feeling and functioning at a pretty amazing level (1.5 pretty darn good, definitely still room for improvement.)
What's your history Isabel?
namaste,
Loren

Hi Isabel,
I wish it were that fast and easy, and I wish I could give you a formula. Unfortunately, how long it takes each person to detox depends much less on someone's age, but rather on the intersection between the level of toxicity of the body and the level of vitality of the individual. What I can tell you is that one 6 week fast puts everyone in a completely different body than they started; It's truly amazing and incredibly powerful and is enough to eliminate almost every "disease"...though getting to be symptom free and getting to the highest levels of health and vitality are two different things.
Six weeks fasting, followed by one year of excellent diet and lifestyle choices, then additional fasts of 21 days or more a couple of times would take virtually anyone to the highest state of health and balance they've ever experienced.
Hi Isabel! The internship program includes 4 weeks as a guest (21 days fasting and 7 days refeeding) plus five more weeks living and learning with the staff and I. There's lots of time with me as the goal is to teach the interns how to meet all of their body's needs, as well as to actually give them the experience of doing it.
The program runs US$3k,and for most of our interns has been one of the most powerful things they've ever done. If it feels comfortable for both you and us, you will be invited to stay here on a work-trade basis, and later if there's an opening, as paid staff. Incidentally, we have big plans to expand the community, and so I think the possibilities are wide open.
I think the color suits you, it looks right. Sometimes when people color their hair it's obvious that it's a dye job and it just looks off. Yours doesn't look off at all. Anyway, it's a lot better than my hair! ;)

Okay, mishap was a bit generous. I decided to dye it, so I bought some indigo (plant dye) and started sectioning off the front bits of my head and putting the dye in, and then as I tried to get further back and farther down, I ran out. So now the ...

Nah, I had a mishap with some indigo I bought to dye my hair darker. It's washing out though, no biggie. Probably why I shouldn't mess around with hair dye, no matter how natural it is.
It's nostalgia and a bit of idolatry, I spent a lot of time in that general area of the world and most of the family I'm in contact with are from that general area so if there is any disconnect with humour and culture I feel it in media :)
But he...
