I would like to hear from anyone over 35 who is thriving on a high fruit diet

Loren, as an example, how many and how long fasts in such surroundings as you are offering is enough to totally clean out a person coming directly from SAD eating? I know there are no exact numbers...

Hi Isabel,

I wish it were that fast and easy, and I wish I could give you a formula. Unfortunately, how long it takes each person to detox depends much less on someone's age, but rather on the intersection between the level of toxicity of the body and the level of vitality of the individual. What I can tell you is that one 6 week fast puts everyone in a completely different body than they started; It's truly amazing and incredibly powerful and is enough to eliminate almost every "disease"...though getting to be symptom free and getting to the highest levels of health and vitality are two different things.

Six weeks fasting, followed by one year of excellent diet and lifestyle choices, then additional fasts of 21 days or more a couple of times would take virtually anyone to the highest state of health and balance they've ever experienced.

Hi Isabel! The internship program includes 4 weeks as a guest (21 days fasting and 7 days refeeding) plus five more weeks living and learning with the staff and I. There's lots of time with me as the goal is to teach the interns how to meet all of their body's needs, as well as to actually give them the experience of doing it.

The program runs US$3k,and for most of our interns has been one of the most powerful things they've ever done. If it feels comfortable for both you and us, you will be invited to stay here on a work-trade basis, and later if there's an opening, as paid staff. Incidentally, we have big plans to expand the community, and so I think the possibilities are wide open.

Well, I never wasted away and actually feel that some of my deficiencies from poor digestion are turning around. But while I am getting the calories and nutrients I need, I sure do need to eat a lot! I often think of animals, like goats or rabbits...

New Zealand is just more environmentally conscientious than most places. I guess being an island is part of the reason. I loved NZ when I visited.

You could make an avocado chocolate (or carob) mousse but sweeten it with stevia, so you'll only be getting the fat and not the sugar. Or you could make a green smoothie (or a regular, non-fat smoothie) and freeze it into sorbet:-)

The diet is mostly cultured, raw veggies and non-starchy veggies. The remaining 20% consists of either a protein or a starch (but never eaten together). It's strict in many ways. The goal of the diet is to not feed yeast in the colon, and to heal...
