I'm Helen Castillo, the Raw Food Chef-Instructor, Owner, and Director of Business Development for The Raw Palate™, a raw foods organization informing consumers' choices and shaping tomorrow's world.
Being introduced to a raw vegan lifestyle several years ago, I developed both a passion for supporting local organic farmers and a palate for eating healthful foods prepared mainly from raw fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. The Raw Palate™ was established to educate others on the benefits of healing the body naturally through better food and lifestyle choices.

Interests (outside of Raw Food):
Although I travel often for business and for pleasure, my favorite activity includes being around nature--specifically working on my 40-acre farm in Costa Rica, which keeps me well grounded. Social dancing and doing yoga is how I remain fit, while on occasion attending either plays, musicals and concerts or visiting museums and galleries; drawing and painting; reading some fiction and books on personal growth, spirituality and the arts; watching movies (I am a member of a film society); and listening to music such as classical, jazz, alternative, Latin and World beat keep my creative juices flowing.
One of the first things others notice about me is my vibrant energy and straightforward disposition. After reaching the big 5-0, I've committed myself to having the best time ever. As a result, what I'm most passionate about is living life fully, searching for knowledge, expressing myself creatively, overcoming life's challenges, having fun, being loved, and loving others.
