hey Sjo! I've just noticed that you travelled to Brazil recently - I'm going there this January, so I was wondering if you had any tips on eating fresh fruit and veggies there? drinking water? I'd appreciate any tips! :)

That carrot, apple & ginseng juice sounds awesome! I'll have to get some of the ginseng though so I can try it :-)

Yeah, the juice will be fresh, but often sugared... :(

P.S. You also have to state very clearly that you do not want sugar in your juice!!

There is so much fruit available. Maybe not as much as in the northeastern part of the country (where I'm from), but certainly a lot of variety. You should also take advantage of all the fresh coconut water and sugar cane juice (yummy with a dash of lemon). I'm not sure about Curitiba specifically, but there are usually many places where you can get fresh juice. Just make sure it is from the fruit and not from "polpa" (a frozen extract which is commonly used in restaurants, etc.). Hope that helped! Have a nice trip! :)

Yes quite easy in matters of fruits and veggies, but hard to find organic and fresh products on the big cities... but there are lot of awesome places quite beautiful. But raw restaurants you will probably only find in rio and são paulo but they are not quite a thing
Thanks :P and i hope u enjoy brazil

Carrot, Apple, Ginseng Juice

I am addicted to the carrot, apple, ginseng juice at my local juice bar. If anyone wants to try it, here's the recipe:

4 Extra Large Carrots
2 Granny Smith Apples
2 Squirts of Liquid Ginseng

Sounds ridiculous to me. Anyone actually older and experiencing longevity there? I doubt it. I live out in the country in the general direction of God's fart zone and perhaps that's better than getting caught up in this sort of materialistic stuff...

they gossip about which teams are going to trade or sign star players. Most of it is bullshit. They just create rumors to sell papers / get hits. Still I eat it up.

Hi agree with Erin, everything she suggested is very similiar to wha ti have found. I am also seeing an accupuncturist and realize that we actually need cooked foods in our diet to support the spleen. Healing with whole foods is a great start..

I've been doing some "research" on ear candling, and have found three different reports: 1) it's great, feels great, and really helps to clear out the sinuses/lymphs 2) it feels great, but that's just the warmth and it doesn't actually do anything...
