Eat tons of fruit for breakfast, so many different kinds! Also smoothies are awesome. I have some recipes for smoothies on my site, rawfoodpunk.com. For dinner get some sweet potatoes in your life or brown rice or squash or try making pasta out of...
I think no matter what you read there is going to be research and information that tells you the opposite. I think its best to follow your own rules. Figure out what works for you and what makes you feel good and roll with it. That's what being a ...
In my efforts to make the raw chocolate halvah, I realized I was super low on cocoa powder, ouch! Fortunately, however, I've decided bumps in the road like that are perfect opportunities to get creative so I started experimenting with some other i...
Im a pretty lazy raw foodie too! But I enjoy finding and creating recipes that are relatively easy to make. Smoothies are my new favorite thing to make, they're just so easy. I have a website that focuses on no-fuss raw recipes: rawfoodpunk.com Ho...
I just checked out your blog...it is fab! I can never leave a recipe well enough alone either :)
I've been doing raw on my own and thought I might finally invest in a raw uncook book. Since you seem to be using a few for inspiration, which would you recommend?
That sounds like exactly what I am aiming for :) It's been a pretty tough road for me vice-wise, but I'm getting there! Exactly a year ago I kicked meat to the curb (and haven't looked back! though sometimes I will have a little bit of fish or eggs, but it's pretty rare..), and have recently overcome my dependency on bagels, pasta, sugar, chocolate, and (almost!) soy chai tea lattes haha. Through in the mix too many binging disasters, and it was one heck of a ride..It's been a year long progression for me, but I'm finally at the point where I'm reaching for raw fresh foods not only because I know it's best for me, but also because I crave it. So yay for us getting this far! :)
Hi Hayley, I read your "about me" and was SO excited to see someone with the same raw goals as me! I desperately want to go the raw food route, but I want to find that balance so I can occasionally go out with friends too and enjoy the regular treats! How's it going for you? /let's help each other figure this out? :)
First and foremost I am a dancer. Beyond that I love to (un)cook, write, eat, laugh, read, listen to music, and explore the natural world. I have a website that features at least 3 new raw recipes a week--Raw Food Punk: http://rawfoodpunk.blogspot.com/
Come check it out! Eat Happy, Be a Punk. : )
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
I'm a big fan of being raw in addition to being the girl I was a few years ago who goes out and enjoys ice cream with her friends, etc. occasionally! I'd love to hear from people who successfully live a mostly raw diet but aren't worried about following the rules obsessively. Plus any feedback on my website rawfoodpunk.com would be ever so helpful!!

Yes Papparazzis are actually real journalists! They just happen to do it mostly with Photographs but they do ask questions, interviews, etc. I actually like the Papparazzi they are really nice and just doing their job. I have not had a "negative" ...

I don't think our soil has nearly the same trace mineral concentration, so I think unrefined salt can be helpful. The seawater example doesn't fly because, like any substance, what is good in small amounts can be bad in large amounts.
