Hi Emma,
I've been into raw foods since doing the "PH Miracle" cleanse from Dr Robert O Young's book of the same name.
Since then I have managed to cut down the amount of food I actually eat to one green smoothie, one protein nut & seed smoothie ...
I read a good book which kind of explained hunger its called, Hunger: A modern history by James Vernon. I found it really interesting and a fairly quick read. I've never fasted but I have been in a state of starvation for several months at a time ...
Thank you for your advice. Unfortunatly my family purly thinks this is just my anorexic mind talking. Its not. As far as I know anyway. I kinda thought I'd just do it and not say but then it brought up so many problems, as they noticed things in t...
I guess that you live at home with your parents?
There are a few on here who have the same trouble as you. I hope they contribute to your post.
I think it is good to just take it easy and do as much as you can.
It might be an idea to make a few go...
Hello, I'm Emma and new to this site. I have been interested in raw food for a few years now, and have read a number of books on the subject. My family are not supportive at all about this, and they don't even think its important to buy organic fo...
Hi Emma,
Probably get a better response if you post this in the forums?
Anyway, rice isn't raw, didn't know if you knew that or not because it doesn't say on the packets ;) They steam, dry and often even boil it during it's processing.
I make fake...

Yeah, no such thing as a stupid question here. That is what this site is here for - for everyone to question, share, and learn. If you sprout the sweet brown rice as I described earlier, it may take two or three days, and it never gets real soft like cooked rice, but definitely soft enough to eat especially good in vegetable salads. I used my last batch in broccoli salad - broccoli, carrots, red pepper, onion, and Greek black olives in a dressing of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and soy sauce. - yum! Throw in the sprouted rice or sprouted mung beans or sunflower seeds and it makes a very delicious, hearty meal.
Emma, what happened to your brown rice post? It was a good question. I tried to reply to it with a picture of some sprouted sweet brown rice I had in the fridge. You can sprout it. Soak it for 24 hours, then rinse and sprout as you would any other grain or seed. Got to run right now. I'll check back later.
Greetings all,
I and Miss Makeda Voletta will be having an phenomenal sex education workshop/event in the beginning of this December. I hope to see all of you there. If you are unable to attend, please spread the word to family, friends and others...
I distinctly remember feeling the exact way. I had the Nesco dehydrator before, and it stunk (it didn't work well). LOL The Nesco dehydrator is made in a circular shape and it would take doubly long to dehydrate, and food was often very moist/chew...
I think the green is more "leafy" tasting (which I don't mind) but doesn't have the same long-lasting aftertase that the white does. I love the Wisdom of the Ancients green stevia liquid. I've finally made friends with stevia, LOL! I get it from V...
What is a safe mattress that you recommend?
I'm looking for:
~no off-gassing
~no springs (because they can conduct EMF/EMR waves)
So, far I've been looking into:
