This is a great question and I'm really glad you posted it. I'm trying to go mostly raw myself, taking small steps in to it, but about to take the plunge any day now. Weight loss is not my reason at all (I'm also 5'7 but I'm not sure how much I we...

My 1st Raw Anniversary

I was one year raw on Sunday 17 May 2009. I celebrated by creating a raw feast and sharing it with my yoga students after our class on that day.

The main course (featured in the above photo) was: mixed salad (celery, lettuce, chive, parsley, cucumber, olives, chadon beni, snow peas, t… Continue

Raw gifts for friends

Yesterday I made a lot of these ... but instead of cutting them into squares this time, I rolled them into balls and dusted them with cinnamon powder, which adds a great twist.

This morning I bought this large avocado from the roadside fruit/vegetable shop about five minutes from home. The man who sells there is from North Africa (married to a woman here) and he often gives me dis… Continue

Experimenting

My 'crackers' and 'cheese' paste.
I also just uploaded other photos of this weekend's raw 'experiments' on my page.

I haven't updated on GITMR for months, but have been evolving with rawism behind the scenes - experimenting and learning as I go along.

A friend recently gave me a new Ex… Continue

ohh I love hearing about other people's kundalini experiences! How did you experience yours? It's such a fascinating area of exploration that I'm only just embarking on now, just so happens it's all happening at the same time that I'm getting into raw foods. funny how there are these spiritual growth spurts in our lives where everything just happens like BAM

mm raw brownies sound super yummy! carob or cacao? i loveee cacao :)

and thanks for reading my poetry, I love how you put it, being both the creator and created, being whittled away, that's true, by exposing our own creative energies we reveal a deeper part of ourselves and are more "bare" in that sense

Yes, but it was in the seventies! My youngest cousin Cindy Chinsang is 34, her Dad still lives there, his name's Wilson, (Chinese Trinidadian,) my other cousins are Katie, Nancy, Joanne and Mum Betsy. They lived in Port of Spain. It looks so beautiful. I used to be so envious of their sunfilled lifestyles! xxxx

Hi Elspeth,
I hope this note finds you well! I'm so sorry for the delay in my response... things have been very busy lately; so, to answer your question, "Spiritual Psychology" recognizes the Metaphysical aspect of our existence, instead of just the physical and/or mind created realms. It is designed to help one come into full awareness of their "authentic self." It is a highly experiential course that has each student delve into their own psyche and inner knowing. The belief is that, if one is going to assist others in finding themselves or healing their deepest wounds, then one must also have the experience of doing the same themselves! It is an amazing program, to say the very least... It has been BY FAR, the BEST and most rewarding gift I've EVER given to myself. I'm happy to share more with you, but for a direct look, go to this website: www.gousm.edu.

Blessings, Love and Light to you,
Tresa

Hmm, maybe I'll try the Quinoa. Best of luck with your juice fast. I'll check in to see how you're going.

Once the Quinoa is done... I like to add raw veggies to it... It's delicious... There is no other grain that I eat as a staple. I am currently juice fasting... The last time I did this My metabolism reset... I began to desire vegetables that I had not previously liked... like cucumber and tomato... I am excited to find where this ones takes me intuitively : )

Yes... the 20% is the cooked... Just some sort of estimate to acknowledge Quinoa...
