I would suggest checking out your local CSA (community supported agriculture). Since you are in socal, these should be very abundant. The best thing about a CSA is that you get a fresh batch of "surprise" every week, and at a fraction of what it c...
Pretty common in Hawaii, usually around $2.50 a pound in stores- at farmers markets you can get good sized ones for 2-3 dollars-
Awesome fruit!
Anyone like atemoyas or soursop? (same family as cherimoya)
I guess $5 each isn't bad then since that's what I paid here... I can tell they're addicting cause I want another already!
I've been in Dallas since 2000. Whole foods is cool but you are sooo right that it's spendy. I usually end up at the asian ...
Wow, that's cheap. Is it for the 5200 model?
I only saw the vitamix at costco once here in IL, but I didn't care for it so I didn't even stop to see the presentation. Is there any way of finding out if or when vitamix will be at Costco in IL?
Thank you for the coupon :)
Thank you, Eddie! I really appreciate your kind words : ) And I'm so glad you're enjoying the show. Stay tuned. We have some fantastic episodes coming up!
Well, I'm not really into green smoothies. I prefer juicing, eating whole food, or making something gourmet and delicious. As for different raw ingredients... No, it's actually pretty hard to find different stuff. I mean, the regular produce is pretty straightforward, but if you're making a recipe (especially if the chef lives in California or something like they all do), it can be a little difficult to find stuff. I actually have a thread started on young coconuts because I'm so frustrated I can't find them anywhere. Finding raw tahini, cacao, nori, agave... It's a little tough. I've resorted to ordering them off the internet, which by the way, SUCKS. Damn shipping...
Canadian born, moved to Dallas in 2000... I'm new to raw/vegan (started by making green smoothies, and have worked my way up)

Thanks for posting! I went to the dentist today and was absolutely delighted when I heard the dentist comment to the hygenist, "she has beautiful teeth, doesn't she?"
WOW! Coooool! Haha, all thanks to raw food!!!
Yeah! I have been getting into apples big time, and discovering new ones that I have not tried before like the Honey Crisps! I always like the Gala too great for raw recipes!
Thank you for your positive words everyone. I've been raw for 8 months and it was simply dissappointing to have gone through such a binge! Besides I felt physically awful!
Onward we march from here! lol
