I am new to this whole raw foods business. I have been striving to eat healthy which means....Hell, I have no idea! I am a vegetarian struggling to find a better, more fulfilling, more nutritious way to eat. Thus, I am here.

I just wanted to connect on this topic. I think that as a newbie, you should invest in the best blender that you can afford. Get a food processor and just roll with it. I got mine from Target as well for about $60. I have some green smoothies that I can share with you. Victoria Bouutenko's, "Green For Life" is a good book that is all about smoothies (green). Contains recipes, research and theory. You may find that it's a great read.

I make a lot of pates to put in nori rolls. And it chops veggies in an instant. I paid $60 for a 13 cup food processor at Target. That was a worthy investment.
