Hi Erin :) Loved your response; we all need to learn again about K2 for example. Very informative, thanks! Love and Peace

Hi Debbie, What Lena says is true about the diets of native peoples. Yes- agave does cause decay and so can dates. I've known more than one former raw foodist who has completely reversed tooth decay/issues with using dietary principles from Westo...

Hi Debbie, Sorry to hear about your teeth problems. Teeth are made from minerals, and a diet with mineral rich foods will help improve teeth. Gabriel Cousens program features a low glycemic / mineral rich diet. Focus on eating mineral rich super...

Hi Debbie; First of all I beleive there is a major relation between diet and health. If we would eat mostly raw vegan we could very likely suffer with dental problems. I did and many others as you are now. No nativs or tribe people eat a raw vega...

Hello. I've been all raw vega, vegan and vegetarian. Right now, I'm a little bit of everything (well, no dairy). I will come out and say I completely respect all the different whole foods eating styles....but that's nothing to really to do with my...

HEY MOM! I'm a mom of a three year old + 1 yr old twins. We are all high raw (although not 100%, 100% of the time). After we do our weekly food shop we prep all of the food for the week and I do meal plans. This helps me to stay raw while running ...

Profile Information

About Me:
I'm a Mom of 4 1/2 year old twins and currently expecting and due in late April.

I was high raw very nearly a couple years after my twins were born. Then on/off raw for another couple years. Now that I'm through morning sickness I'm craving so many fruits and veggies that I can't resist re-visiting a raw foods lifestyle.

Blog #5 baby boy arrived!

The raw pregnancy site was so quiet that I became a little shy with being the only one active on it and ended up staying away.

But, it feels appropriate to now share that my baby arrived and It's a Boy. I delivered very quickly at 38 weeks. Labor was mainly at home and when I couldn't take it anymore we went to the hospital. And the baby was born within one and a half hours after that. Phew. That part is over.

To share, my last eight weeks of pregnancy were very interesting. I ate very little… Continue

Blog #4

I'm into my 31 week of pregnancy. Getting a bigger tummy every day and more and more uncomfortable. All in all, I'm proud of this pregnancy and how I've respected my body with diet and tlc. Now I'm in the home stretch! And I'm thinking of re-reading Raw Food Detox Diet to get me back on track after the pregnancy.

The Braxton Hick contractions are a little too common. It's a bit worrisome, so I'm working on mentally getting through them, resting a lot more, drinking tons of water, and my homeopa… Continue

Blog #3

I'm upping the raw. Tea, water and fruit in the morning. Lots of green salads and avocados. I crave avocados, cashews and macademia nuts. Must be the oils! Oh, and spinach. Most important is that I'm trying to stay hydrated.

I started to feel some minor braxton hicks contractions this past Friday. It freaked me out because it was on and off all day. I'm ok knowing it will happen now and then, but I freak out it if it's more often. I had to be on bed rest with the twins and I can't comprehend go… Continue

Blog entry #2

An update where I'm at...
I'm almost 20 weeks and had the big ultrasound yesterday. Thank goodness, everything is going fine. I've gained 14lbs. I can't complain about that! And for the last several weeks I've had no desire for anything from animals. No meats, no dairy, no cheeses. So, I've naturally returned back to vegan foods. And it feels great! I'm eating lots of brown rice, edemame, steamed kale, potatoes, squashes (all steamed or roasted), almond milk and nut butters. Very little processe… Continue

transitions

I'm very motivated to start eating a vegan diet. It's not difficult for me to transition, I've been all raw vegan for long periods of time. I just know that I don't have a desire to be all raw right now (I need some warm whole foods, especially being pregnant).

Of all things, the book Skinny Bitch Bun in the Oven is guiding me through a vegan menu plan. And I'm finishing up some of the food in the house (along with my family) because I just don't want to throw out food. But everything I'm bring… Continue

I would encourage you to eat oranges instead Vampi. Whole food is always best. Oranges are a perfect food; lots of sugar, and lots of fiber to slow down the absorption into the blood stream. Take out all the fiber and you've got a blood sugar spik...

since I find no reason to believe in 'allergies' against 'natural' appropriate stuff, I would think it's more likely just the fact that pineapple if bought in store is pretty much always unripe. Not that it matters to the situation perhaps. ...but...

Nicolas have you ever had a pineapple that does not give symptoms. In my experience around these hoods where we are there are practically no ripe pineapples..or perhaps a few dunno

Yes ma'am. Resting as completely as possible with eyes closed; getting enough water; avoiding too much sun; avoiding toxic substances (personal care products, cleaning products, etc.)
