I have not had much luck and my tahini fermented in a day!
I soak em an hour or 2 to soften, and then thru the Champion! Easy. not sure about the smoothness, I prefer chunky, but I get a very spreadable texture at least.

If you have a blender (Vita-Mix best, but any blender very helpful), you can make fantastic Raw Veg Soups, Nut and Seed Milks, Dips and Pates, and all kinds of other things - so "lots of chewing" is not an issue.

I was at my friends
tonight and she had a pack and I opened one up with a nutcracker, omg. Is it a nut? Its so meaty and you don't have to cook or boil. I was so happy. I took them with me to my new house and I love them.
