A group for those with candida to share their findings and discuss how we can BUST IT!!!! I thought we needed an energizing and positive group name. This is a really hard thing to beat and I suspect there will be many different opinions and that's ok
Hey regarding your question about maca, I know Brendan Brazier highly recommends it for adrenal support. I use it along with what else was/has been said. I wouldn't recommend relying solely on it tho :)
Good sleep, alkalize, and reducing or removing all stimulants!
Hey Darren!
I'm still healing the adrenal fatigue (I've had it in varying degrees for about 15 years), so it's taking me awhile. It's important to be patient with the process and gentle with yourself:)
I highly recommend reading "Adrenal Fatigue- the 21st Century Syndrome" by James Wilson, if you haven't.
He does have the usual lists of supplements in there (although not all supplements are "synthetic"- an isolated nutrient isn't necessarily from a synthetic source- in fact, most aren't) but I think the lifestyle stuff is very important. You can't get well until you really have that under control.
In fact, the MAIN reason I'm not totally better yet is because I hadn't yet addressed things like getting to sleep by 10:00pm.
The things I am finding most helpful are qigong exercises and deep breathing, taking raw adrenal cortex extract (Nutricology brand) and certain dietary changes.
Honestly, the dietary changes that are helping me the most are going to be frowned upon by some on this site but I had to break out of my old mentality and find what worked.
I am now eating eggs on a daily basis (sometimes raw in smoothies and sometimes cooked). I'm eating a lot more fish, too. I also do a little goat dairy (I formerly avoided dairy). Also, I added a LOT more salt to my diet. Your body looses sodium easily with adrenal fatigue and you end up with low blood pressure. I no longer have that problem because of the salt.
I was strictly raw for over four months last spring and summer and it honestly didn't give me as much of a boost as I had hoped and I felt like I wasn't breaking my food down.
I've learned through studying Chinese medicine that there are conditions in the body where too much raw food can really make things worse by further dampening an already weak digestive fire.
I happen to fit that. If I eat totally raw, I only have loose stools with lots of undigested food.
So, through the winter, I probably ate maybe 30-40% raw with lots of baked and steamed veggies. I feel like I'm absorbing more of my nutrients now. I'm adding more into my diet but my goal is flexible and I don't plan on returning to 100% any time soon.
I think emotional healing is important, too. Many people with adrenal fatigue are sensitive and empathic, so life affects us very easily. I'm learning (though qigong) to strengthen my energy field and clear out emotional baggage. It can make such a difference in how you feel and how much energy you have.
I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions:)
Hi Darren(:
YesI can recommend the mucoid plaque cleanse ! I have done a few and each time I do one i feel lots better and my assimilation of nutrients is a lot better too.
I will attach a detox plan which i have used each time. The 1st one I did do it with other folks in a lovely cottage in Wales so there was plenty of support..but it helped me go 100% raw! I was getting there and it shifted some negative energy as it alwaya does. If you would like to read about more just log onto www.bodyelectronics.co.uk This guy Peter Hinde has been running detox weeks for years and its not expensive. Healso seel sthe Arise & Shine herbs at practically no profit , so wont get them cheaper any where else(:
I can also recommend doing it when there is a solstice because the energy in your cells will be helped by the position of the moon and sun(:
Do think twice about doing it in the cold winter tho especially for the 1st time ! the Chinese say we need our energy to keep warm and so elimination can be difficult.
I f you need to ask any more questions im here(:
I think a good book to read is Cleanse and Purify thyself by dr anderson.. he is the guy that got the herbs together
you can also read about more on my website if you like?

Hi Lee, I agree with you in many ways and would have said an unreserved yes to your statement before I tried raw vegan eating. Maybe it is different for different people, but I have been totally surprised at how much what I eat has been affecting ...
