I'm pretty sure they're getting SOME carbs in the form of veggies. Surely running at a deficit but not to the point of ketosis...having even a few grams of carbs a day can easily throw you out of ketosis. Is it optimal? no. but let's not jump to c...

Who is behind the disinformation? Wouldn't it better to simply provide objective, helpful information than to "fight" disinformation? I mean, the people attracted to a site like this are not in a majority; their dietary choices are by no means mainstream. Most are here because they are accustomed to seeking out information and deciding for themselves whether or not it is useful/personally true. But when people come here with their minds already made up (or in "fight" mode)...you'll turn people, who may otherwise be receptive, off. Again, this is not pointed at any particular person but it reminds me of the adage "that which we resist persists." Is it not far better to focus on what you want rather than what you dislike, i.e. seeing people getting the information they need and respecting that it is coming from a place of genuine concern as opposed to fighting the people you don't agree with?
Otherwise it all just becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, no? For example, if you think that people don't want to listen to your info ---->you approach the discussion with this misconception------>people pick up on that vibe ------>they become disinterested in your info.

It doesn't have to be that way. I have been on this site for a long time...and most people I know have no issue with 811. They are willing to listen, if they feel like the information is coming from a place of love and not judgment. The latter just puts people on the defensive and nothing gets accomplished. IDK...but to each his/her own.

what school? i was living up in Hyde Park last year...not too far from Poughkeepsie. I did read the comment below; I went to 30BAD and read the whole thread actually...i wanted to get a better understanding of where some of the "confrontational" vibe was coming from. although I believe this thread had more to do with product marketing...
And not that I agree with your being singled out on this site either for that matter (as below)...but I was disappointed to read some of the generalizations about people on this site. And the saddest part is that I don't think it's the nutritional information people have a problem with so much as the "species specific" point...and the "fight or confrontational" mentality. I don't think this is your intention...but we have all (self included) got to be highly respectful of one another.

Anyway, I hope we can all get past this and appreciate each other for who we are. I have also extended a friend request.
