About Me:

I live in Sheffield in the North of England and have been involved in raw food for about 6 years.

I have four home educated children (13, 8 and twins of 4) who are toying with the idea of raw food. I birthed my 8 year old and my twins at home and breastfed all the children until they were around 4 years old.

Raw Food is in it's infancy up here in Sheffield, but we do have a pot luck every month (usually at my house) and there is more and more interest.

I trained as a Raw Food Coach with Karen Knowler in 2007.

I have two blogs. One is called Barefoot Raw, where I rabbit on about anything that takes my fancy raw food wise. The other is Raw Rabble which is about transitioning my kids to raw food.

This year I took part in the Global Juice Feast (first juice feast for me) and did 54 days. I felt amazing. The emotional detox is on going from it, which is tricky sometimes but feels helpful too. I really miss it now and can't wait to do it again.

Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?

Chocolate smoothies, green smoothies, anything made by someone else for me to try usually goes down well.

Interests (outside of Raw Food):

Getting my kids to eat healthily, home education, breastfeeding, personal growth stuff. Family stuff really, as I don't get away from the kids that much! Secretly I want to live in a mud hut, by a beach, somewhere hot, on my own for a while. Well, maybe with Johnny Depp.
