About Me:
My life has completely changed since beginning my raw journey over 5 years ago, when my father a diabetic had a quadruple bypass and was given 6 months to live, btw he's still alive :). In helping him and my sister who was also diagnosed as pre-diabetic, I also ended up releasing over 115lbs. Since that time I've been working as a raw and living foods chef, energy healer, and medical intuitive. I teach classes and give seminars all over the country on the importance of getting lots of greens in your diet and prevention of diabetes and heart disease. I was a former computer network engineer and realized that it was not my passion but it did give me many troubleshooting tools and mindset in order to help people today who are struggling with healing from many different dis-eases. I think diet and lifestyle are extremely important and often-overlooked by our medical communities and I'm working hard at educating as many people as I can on making these shifts that are necessary for a healthy and long life!
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
looking to network with other like-minded folks!

Hey Everyone,

I just uploaded several video clips from my last jumpstart to health program that I did in Alameda, CA on detoxification, acid/alkaline balance, weight loss and insulin resistance. Hope you enjoy them!

They're on my facebook profile, I couldn't put them on here because they were the wrong file format so if you're on facebook add me as a friend to view them.

Love & Light,
Chef Dina Knight

Wow...those are some amazing before and after pics...you look great. That chocolate mousse looks so good too. If I weren't already doing another profession, I would totally be a raw chef b/c I love to eat healthy...and I'm into art...most of those dishes are basically works of art in my opinion. :)

hi dina!
i see that you are a part of the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute group. i am thinking of becoming a raw vegan chef and currently have no experience in the kitchen. i would really appreciate any impressions that you have of the shool, or any advice for an aspiring chef?

Hi Dina,
Thanks for the request! You live and work here in Austin? That's wonderful. Where can I try your creations? I am also pre-diabetic and am hoping to use raw food and to help heal me. I would love to have some added support and knowledge, as I'm kind of going it alone (except for the internet!) Nice to meet you!

Full disclosure - I work as a therapist. Yes, it helps. But you should know that the value of it can't be described by the speed of the healing process or whether you're looking or seeming perfect. Therapy is about coming to terms and coming back...

I always used to get sick on foods from restaurants, but the same meal I prepared at home wouldn't make me sick.... restaurants tend to drown foods in butter and oils, you've probably been eating less of those since going on those diet.

Finally reconciled with my mother two years before she split the scene at the age of 95. Load off my mind. She was tough, tough, tough, tough. Jewish mother nagging shit, non-fucking-stop. Always fresh to her, always Hell to me.

Wow that's got to be tough. I think I would set myself on fire if I had to live with or near either one of my parents. I'm going to try to keep distance from them & keep a diary. Thank you for the support RGG
