About Me:
I was your typical meat-and-potatoes-country-girl from a small town out west. When I moved to NJ, I began an amazing journey that started in the vegetarian world, then vegan and natural progression and growth has brought me to the world of raw.

Many of my friends don't understand this change in me, and some have jokingly threatened to have me committed (haha). To this, I offer up my green-mustache-grin and say oh well! Erin Brockovich was recently quoted saying "Frankly, I think it takes a little bit of being crazy to make a difference in this world."

I've learned to not be too "preachy," and instead wait for people to ask questions. If they inquire, rather than being TOLD, it seems to be accepted more readily.
Relationship Status:
Single
Favorite Raw Food or Recipe?
Green Smoothies are both easy for on-the-go and delicious, and really one of my favorites. Just about anything with avocado in it, especially if it's been soaked in lime juice... mmmmm.
Interests (outside of Raw Food):
I recently joined a team of health professionals in varying fields of wellness, and can't even begin to express my gratitude for this opportunity! As a hypnotherapist, I am able to do what I love and help people realize their full potential at the same time. Don't get much better than that! Every time I look at my website, or go in to my beautiful office, it's almost like looking at a resume, or a workplace of someone else, and I just can't believe that I was able to make all of this happen..

My 14 year old son means so much to me. And yet, I'm beginning to understand, with the help of some really great "teachers," the importance of loving myself.
Favorite Books or Authors:
The Poisonwood Bible (this book tells a story from the viewpoint of 4 or 5 people and gives us the opportunity to see how others may view the same situation in a completely different way), The Secret (the book and the dvd), Don't Know Much About The Bible (great bood for those who wish to understand what we don't learn in church), Green For Life, The China Study, The Alchemist, God's Debris

Psoriasis - A glimps into the world of my knee's and elbows

I have had psoriasis since my son was born 13 years ago (funny how my mom and sister didn't get it either until having children). I currently have psoriasis on just my knee's and elbows, but have, in the past, been covered on my hands, arms, stomach, back and legs. Anyway, I am not completely raw just yet, but I'm working on it. I would say that about 2/3 of my diet is raw, sometimes more, rarely less. That being said, here's my story.

(I guess I should mention that I had once used the… Continue

Just wanted to say thank you for explaining your side. I know we have differences of opinion and I still disagree with you, but at least I understand where you're coming from.

Yeah, I already signed up for the meetup. I'm already a member of the NY and CT raw meetups. It's about time Jersey had one too.

Anyway, that's really interesting that you found a guy who does live blood cell analysis. I was going to do that in the city, but Pete Vincent told me that you need to go a few times to get a truly accurate reading. And the guys in Manhattan charge an arm and a leg. I've been looking for a guy with cheaper prices so I can see him more than once. Did you happen to find out how much he charges, or perhaps where he's located so I can contact him myself?

Thanks Candy,
We made the movie to open the eyes of teenagers and encourage them to think for themselves.

We're looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks at the Film Festival.

I have never dried them myself, but in France and Italy you can buy them already dried (at what temperature I don't know). It was awhile since I ate them (before I went raw).

My saliva has never commented on how I smell. But my mouth tastes fine. And, in case you were wondering, my various excretions all smell good too!
