Hey guys....I wanted to just email everyone in the Chicago group, but don't know how. So I'll just post a discussion.
Anyway, not sure if any of you are familiar with Cru Cacao but they are doing a sampling of their raw/vegan chocolates at the ne...
i love love love tahini (but i'm talking about the heated kind). i've tried to make a raw one myself, but it wound up being a chunky mess that tasted pretty awful. so i'm curious too if anyone knows how to make a good raw one!!!
I was never vegan before going raw, I kinda dove right in. Prior to being raw, I always had 1-2 days of really bad cramps and a 7 day period.
Now I have NO cramps and my period lasts about 3 or 4 days. The times when I do stray from raw, I'll noti...
Been raw for 1.5 years, just got back from Raw Spirit Fest and it was just what I needed to re-motivate myself!
In general, I love travel more than just about anything and have trouble staying in one place too long. There is too much to see and do in this world to get stuck in a routine!

Hey Birdie,
I am hosting a girls night out potluck at my house an I would love it if you could come. I recently moved from Brazil to IL and would like to meet like minded women. I just got a raw foods kitchen from husband for my bday and thought that would be a perfect reason to host my potluck. Just bring your favorite raw dish and we will share conversations, laughter and wonderful raw foods! :)
Where: Schaumburg, IL
When: June 5th, 2009 @ 6pm
Please let me know if you can attend and I will send you my number and address.
Hopefully I will see you on June 5th!
xoxo,
Izabel

Hi Bridie,
I hope that we will get to see you in the next one. We got home OK, and are now getting ready to travel to NC to teach our one day Raw Food revival at Hallelujah Acres.
Hey Bridie,
Welcome! How cool that you have a favorite thing to eat that I have never seen or heared of.
What exactly are cherimoyas? (yeah, I can also google it, je sais, but this is much more fun ;) )
love & big hugs
So, I ate some (too unripe) pineapple and it "ate" some of me. Sore lips, chapped mouth corners, slightly sensitive/swollen tongue. Anyone know of good remedies for these conditions? Was thinking I should avoid stretching and licking my lips, and ...

P.S. I have a hard time sleeping without some nightcap food too. I was addicted to bananas and almond butter before bed, but I'm trying to phase it out by freezing bananas in the morning and then making raw ice cream at night.
Banana peach coconut smoothie for breakfast, then
3 Collard wraps with spicy mango salsa, avocado, onion, cilantro, sprouts, and sauteed portabello mushroom. Amazing.
Now I'm contemplating dinner. Might treat myself to Que Seraw Seraw in Burlinga...
P.S. Yogi, When my body is in an unwanted condition like ill or overwhelmed I also ask it "What do you need to get well or fix that condition?" Watch closely for it's FIRST THOUGHT and don't invalidate it. Then do whatever you please of course-you...
hi stacey,
I was doing Hatha Yoga, that involves asanas, prayanama, bandha and mudras.
Apart from yoga we were taught Anatomy, Psychology, Philosophy etc., so that the students of this course could teach yoga and take it as a profession later.
I had a green juice (Celery, Cilantro, Parsley, Apple, Ginger, Fennel, Chard)
And a massive salad with wild caught sardine.
Coconut leek cilantro and lime soup
Might have a coconut kefir smoothie in a hour or two
