Hey Brentney, welcome to Cambridge! I am not a full raw foodist, but I know most of the lore and lifestyles. It is really different for each one. If you want to meet up at some point, just shoot me a mail. I live close to the River Street whole foods.

No problem. I'm glad that it's advice that would work for you. :-) Let's keep one another on track... The holidays are a little tougher what with pumpkin pie and pumpkin beer, hot buttered rum, etc... Let's try to look for some healthy alternatives and share our finds. :-)

Just happened to notice the comment about the sliders. I was there over the summer and I took a picture of the sliders. You can see them in my photos. I thought overall that Grezzo's was good, but not great. But I'm spoiled by all the amazing raw places in NYC.

Grezzo is AWESOME! Best raw food i ever had anywhere, anytime. Hey, Beverly isn't far by train. I find the train easier than driving & parking anyway. But i wouldn't make the trip ONLY to eat at the OG. Grezzo is way better. Any good places to get raw food in Cambridge area these days? I'm familiar with all the great ethnic (but cooked food) restaurants there. There are some raw groups in and around Boston if you are looking for support/community. Great to meet you. :)

Hi Brentney! Welcome! Do you ever eat at Grezzo in Boston or the organic Garden in Beverly? Best wishes

(small) VICTORY!

So far on my raw journey I've struggled considerably. Most days I do great all day long and then at night because I am either exhausted or can't really think of anything else exciting to do between the 6-8 hours after I get home from work and have to go to sleep, I break down and order take out.

My problem is not just cooked food-- it's fast food.

I woke up this morning in a pretty bad mood, just not "there" emotionally. Before ten o'clock I'd gone out and bought pita chips, a (whole grain, at… Continue

Always off the Wagon

I have been interested in Raw for about a year, but the longest I have been able to commit is a week--and that was nearly a year ago. I love the idea of non-violent nutrition. Of no longer poisoning my cells; hey, you are what you eat. In my head it all makes sense-- I am a committed 100% raw foodist.

But, food means way too much to me-- the wrong types of food. I am embarrassed to type this as I sound so pathetic, but I have the feeling I am not alone, if not in the raw community, then at leas… Continue

P.S. Yogi, When my body is in an unwanted condition like ill or overwhelmed I also ask it "What do you need to get well or fix that condition?" Watch closely for it's FIRST THOUGHT and don't invalidate it. Then do whatever you please of course-you...

hi stacey, I was doing Hatha Yoga, that involves asanas, prayanama, bandha and mudras. Apart from yoga we were taught Anatomy, Psychology, Philosophy etc., so that the students of this course could teach yoga and take it as a profession later.
