I'm just a regular 19yr old girl trying to be healthy and happy.I'm trying to learn to enjoy life more and not take it too seriously.I've just finished my first year of law school and hope to be a good lawyer some day.I believe in the 'live and let live' philosphy .I'm very very sensitive and get hurt easily and when that happens I get really really mad lol....I don't mean to scare anyone way lol (Pretty sure I've already done that)

Need to figure myself out.

Lately I've been going a little crazy about my looks and health . Fell of the raw food wagan and starting over ....

I've fallen off the raw food diet AGAIN. There's just something I'm not getting right . I've decided to start over again. This time I'll be fully prepared and I wont be doing It for 30 days but only 7 days and see how it goes ....I'll be starting on the 25th .And If I don't finish It this time Just shoot me.

Day 6

OK so today I didn't go 100% raw because I still havent been wired money lol.I spent the last of It on as much raw as I could afford.
I started out pretty nicely . I had a glass of sweet lime juice and 3 guavas for breakfast . For lunch I had 2 bread-omlette sandwiches .In the evening I had a half glass of tea and For dinner I had my salad ,1 roti and a cooked vegge and 5 vege steamed dumplings (momos). Well for the past 2 days I have had healthy cooked meals as I ran out of cash lol.Man I need to learn to manage money better . Day 3

Today may not be the best day for me in terms of eating but I've learnt quite a few things . I've learnt that I shouldnt force the raw food lifestyle on myself rather I should enjoy It. If I don't enjoy It I doubt It'll become a lifestyle.
I shouldnt obesse about my weight and looks.As long as I eat right and exercise I will be fine
My negative attitude towards life has more to do with my ill health than anything else
I should have more patience with myself

I was eating low fat low salt raw. I lost 8 lbs in the first 5 days. Im sure it was mostly water but it felt good. No detox at that point. i derRoger Haeske's veggie stew recipes online and was hving the berry cherry chunkie smoothie for breakfast and the stews for lunch and sometimes for dinner and also snacking a lot. raisins, lettuce, nectarines. I always made a frozen banana ice cream at night for a treat too.

Take small steps. Get your breakfast routine in order first and stick to it for a week. Then move on to snacks. Then move on to lunch. And then do a mostly raw dinner. And finally a raw dinner.

I've gotten out of my routines and "raw" has fallen apart, so I'm starting over in the same way. Restablishing my routines slowly so they stick.

Yay! I'm glad my little Leija stream of consciousness Ashwini inspired blurb helped you! My job is done here! hehe. I know when I find myself focusing on the little things, that in the big scheme of things, don't matter, I consciously decide to direct my focus to something else. So the next time you're thinking about food, you might want to try doing a couple of things. What helps me is taking about 10-20 deep breathes. If I'm still obsessing over whatever it is I'm obsessing over after that, if I have the chance, I'll go for a walk, run, bike or do some yoga out in nature. Simply moving around and releasing endorphins is sure to clear your mind and leave you feeling more centered, happy and inspired. Also, one more thing- if I'm in a rutt one day, it's usually because I'm not doing what I want to do. As soon as I start doing something creative, like painting, I feel uplifted right away... or sometimes I simply need to hear a friendly voice so I'll call up a friend and chat for a bit and automatically feel better! Give those things a try and let me know if they help!
