Hi! I just saw your post about Santa Fe in the Travelers Support Group which I just joined. This caught my eye as my mom just moved out to Santa Fe & is looking for a place to live. She isn't a raw foodie but is definitely a free spirit, MAJOR dog lover etc etc. Just wondering if you knew of any available places to live in that area of NM that I could refer her to by chance?
Thanks for the insights. I have seen some work of Gabriel Cousens and it seems to work very well. I think I'm probably addicted to sweet foods and don't eat near enough greens. I plan on gettting way more greens so its at least half of the volume of my food per day. I think that is very sustainable. I tried growing wheatgrass but it hasn't worked very well so far. I think I'll definitely be more balanced when I get more greens in my diet. Thanks again
Hi Adam, I have had very few challenges being raw. I made my decision and I've stuck to it for 6 years now. It's been great. Every day I learn something new and I try it. Now I am on a wheatgrass kick, and I have started growing my own. It's very powerful stuff; it's an excellent detoxifyer and antioxidant. I recommend it to all. One ounce of wheatgrass is like 2.5 lbs of vegetables. After a few days on wheatgrass, my skin is so soft, and I have very few cravings for anything not green. I think you may be eating too many fruits. I would cut back a bit on the fruits and include many more greens. I think the less sweet food we eat, the easier it is to be raw. Perhaps it has something to do with the extreme quality of the sweet food, that makes it hard to maintain. Greens are more balanced. Let me know if you have any more questions. Good luck.
Hi Anou, my name is Adam and I'm trying to do the raw thing. I have doen it relatively well for 7-8 months but there are a few problems I'm running into. What are the biggest challenges you have encountered being raw?
I've been a raw fooder for 6 years. I work as a 3d CAD specialist. I have a 12 year old Australian Shepherd female that I love with all my heart. I make delicious raw dishes and like to invite my friends over for dinner. I try to do whatever I can to keep my friends healthy.
How can the community best support you in your journey? (moral support, transition advice, fitness tips, etc)
It would be great to have more raw food friends.

I irrigate my nose with salt water after almost every shift. I use a little bit of salt with my toothpaste every now and again. My silver fillings are pretty stable and I've noticed a metallic taste in my mouth whenever I use salt so I don't. Clov...
I believe that the body can heal itself if given the support. I'm a nurse in a nursing home and I've seen the body cling to life no matter how much poison is thrown at it.
Sounds ridiculous to me. Anyone actually older and experiencing longevity there? I doubt it. I live out in the country in the general direction of God's fart zone and perhaps that's better than getting caught up in this sort of materialistic stuff...
hi honey,
we did an experiment in school with ear candles. we set up one with a real person, followed directions perfectly...set up another the same way but instead of putting it in someones ear we just held it against a pillow...both candles had...
they gossip about which teams are going to trade or sign star players. Most of it is bullshit. They just create rumors to sell papers / get hits. Still I eat it up.
Hi agree with Erin, everything she suggested is very similiar to wha ti have found.
I am also seeing an accupuncturist and realize that we actually need cooked foods in our diet to support the spleen.
Healing with whole foods is a great start..
