hang in there sistar! i have gone through two minneapolis winters raw and it was definitely tough at times but things that helped me were eating heartier raw foods such as soaked and sprouted grains and legumes, and more fats like avos, olives and nuts, warming things in my dehydrator (or at super low temp in the oven), drinking lots of hot tea, and also adding lots of spice to my food...ginger, cayenne, garlic, peppers, curry, turmeric, they all work really well to heat you up inside...and all feel so much better than cooked food! good luck lady, you can do it!! Last winter was my first raw winter and I slipped back into cooked veganism. Sooooo not worth it!
I had these cravings and ideas about what certain things would taste like. Nothing was as good as I thought. Everything let me down. This winter I am making a promise to myself that no cooked food will enter my body. I am worth more than that!
Please feel free to bug me with any struggles you may need support on. I've been there and back and would love to save others the grief!
Glad to be friends! Stay warm!!!

Hi Nicole,
We don't need any salt at all, and in fact it's always toxic to the body. Salt is a rock, and no matter how small we smash it, it is an inorganic mineral which our bodies cannot really use. Organic sodium is needed by ever single cell ...
