btw, for how to start: join a local community food garden group, I am sure there are lots Once you are at it with other people, you'll get loads of tips and confidence! At least you have the weather, lucky you. Joy Larkom's book on growing veg is fab, but I don't think it would apply to your climate. Lots of books on it, and remember to feed the soil not the plant, and to rotate different groups of veg, you can find info online. Choose a few things you really want to eat, eg spinach, salads, herbs, etc, and start small! Even a few pots is good to start with. Grow things you find hard or expensive to get, not stuff you can buy organic easily, like carrots etc. But the best thing is to find a group and then do a little at home with the new knowledge. Good luck! Post some pics!
Check out the LA Group board... I am going to be coming on Oct 25th to do a lecture/dinner at Au Lac. Look forward to seeing you if your available.
Love!

Ann, give us plenty of notice and of course we can invent one for your arrival! We're already planning the next raw gig after this one in early October. Saw your Myspace - love that you want to visit Africa (lucky enough to have been a few times), adore Moulin Rouge, and I'm also hoping to visit Cuba at some point! Are you on Facebook? Well done on beating the big C too, wow, you are amazing!! You can catch some music whilst you're here, there's so much great stuff happening in the NW. I saw Liam O'Maoinlai in Letterkenny recently, incredible gig with Toumani Diabate and other fab African musicians, blew the roof off!! Take care and enjoy the sunshine xx
Hey Ann! When are you coming back to the auld sod then? Any chance you'll be here for our Sligo events? It would be fun to meet! Hope all is good with you. xx
I don't think this exists for humans yet, unfortunately - but what I think would be the healthiest mattress (and virtually free of dust-mites, even bed-bugs which inflict some homes recently) for humans would be the same as the healthiest for pets...
