About Me:
I tried going raw, maybe two years ago, and completely failed. Then this summer, something turned around. Without even realizing it, I started to eat more raw food, cut out meat and dairy, and now I'm working on cutting out everything else. I am in the process of getting my hands on every raw material I can - books, recepies, VitaMix, etc etc etc. I JUST bought a blender/food processor all in one [you can take the processing bowl off, pop on the blender cup, and there ya go! It's so cool - but yes, not a vitamix.. still hoping], a Saladacco, an Excalibur, and a Champion Juicer. SO excited!!

I am in college, I read profusely, I write, I am developing a love for languages, and I practice yoga.

Peace, Love, and Well Being

Here I am!

I joined a raw blog the first time - not so nice people there. But I get good vibes here, and am completely comfortable making my journey.. Even though I am even closer today than I was when I first signed up. I returned all of my Clif bars, and had my last processed soy bar this afternoon [along with a couple SBucks truffles, LoL]. And that's that. I'm done with cooked foods, especially after hwo I felt all day. So let's go!

I am so excited to get my hands dirty with a few new recepies. Thus f… Continue

Heeheehee! I used to be in BC, a couple hours away from Vancouver (where Lush stuff in Canada is made - I think they have places to make products separately in the States) and it didn't occur to me after I moved to look for a Lush store... But luckily there's one here!!! Almost all of the presents under the tree are from Lush, and the boyfriend knows I'd rather have Lush than roses if he going to surprise me (roses are nifty, but LUUUUUSH and Lush is practical!) But yes...

You can easily do reflexology on yourself! Give yourself a foot massage, going thoroughly from the top of your foot to the bottom, the side, and over the top of the foot, and then go back and rework the spot that are sore, tingly, or just feel different! I wonder if there's anything online that describes it better... I've been considering making a website with howto and informational articles on how to do things like Reflexology, what you should expect, bad things you should look out for... Maybe I'll start with a relflexology article!

It IS overwhelming! And I'm in a big city now, whereas I grew up and took high school in a small town, so there's lots of courses like psychology and literature here at this adult high school that I keep being all "Well maybe I'll stay a couple more semesters and do these classes!" and putting off thinking about what classes I'd take in Uni. And then maybe I'll spam Lush with resumes until they hire me so I can get a discount on their products and stock up for when I'm actually in school.

Haha, I went to the Canadian Institute of Natural Health and Healing, where I did much holistic learning. I'm upgrading my high school courses right now, but I'm trying to find something in the holistic sort of career field that I could do, and what courses I'd need in University to get it. I'm waffling about right now, I don't know what I want to be when I 'grow up' :P

I've been stalking here a bit more than usual after Druhmil made his post about turning this into a more positive community. And thanks for the support! It took all my effort to write as politely as I could be, and I know I didn't completely pull it off, but the things she was posting were so offensive... It's like going up to someone and saying "Oh I hope this doesn't offend you, but you look like a baboons butt rubbed in poison ivy and then smeared with poop, with lots of love and prayer!" Anyways, going to stop dwelling on it!

♥!

What's up, Jersey Girl?

Pure Food & Wine is the big daddy of raw food restaurants in NYC. It's rather expensive, though, but their food is the bomb. My other favorite place in the city is Quintessence. It's a small place but I love their Big Moc burger.

North Jersey's just fine and dandy. I was walking along Liberty State Park and saw some fireworks go off in NYC tonight. I don't know what the occasion was, but it was fun to watch.

It's actually surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it. No machete required. Shave off the husk at the pointed top close to the shell. Then poke the point of a knife in about 2 or 3 cm out from the centre and wiggle it about until it pierces ...
