There will be vendors, but you might want to bring some fresh fruit or something. I always find these events tend to have heavier foods than I am used to eating. No food is included in the ticket price, last year it was one meal a day & tickets we...
I first began my raw journey in Feb 2006 and finally found the raw community in the beginning of 2008. love raw foods and the way they make me feel more alive everyday! I recently moved to Roanoke VA from NYC, back to my roots and local produce!
I created and run the local Meetup group for Roanoke and the NRV, we are small but growing.
I love fresh fruits, traveling, running outside by the water, dancing, getting outside the city, the theater and the best friends anyone could imagine!

Hey Amy- Heading out Thursday & will be volunteering Friday & Monday for set-up/tear-down. So, I'll be there for 4 days. Looking forward to meeting you! -Jim
Just hanging out, getting some sun, eating, more eating, still more eating. It's amazing how I'm eating more yet I've actually lost weight. My tapeworm is doing its job well.
I'm going to share a few of my favorite recipes for quick creations. I call them "gadgets". One will be made with avocado, another with cashews and blueberries... quick, easy and delicious stuff. I'll also be a food vendor... kelp noodles with a hemp miso sauce and possibly zucchini noodles and marinara.
Hi Amy, my secret ingredient is FUN and have fun with whatever you are doing the succcess will come, that and well of course healing loving intentions, working with the best people, getting experience...but you will be guided by the Divine to co-create and do what is for your higher good and like Rev.Michael Beckwith says in Agape(Good friend of mine and I make them raw food!) that your soul is already enlightened, you are already successful, your soul is already unfolding in the best way possible right now! I totally get that but you also have to work it, make thing happen and flow...and enjoy the spiritual journey and friends you meet along the way, give what you want to receive, be grateful, tithe, those positive things will come back to you big time!
Also yeah the traffic, but any smart person would of course plan their activities or driving routes around obvious traffic patterns! It helps to know short cuts, stay away from the freeways and take side streets, etc. and know secret short cuts or get to know a local that can show you, then if you can embrace the traffic, the flow and that is one major "Negative" or "Problem" totally elminated right there then there are NO PROBLEMS or NEGATIVES! Just bliss, and joy, just being smart and working with things, most people come to LA and they are like OH WOW I hate this city! The traffic, cars, pollution, everyone is so fake, blah blah blah, well these people obviously do not know a local, they did not give it time, or they don't have success or have it going on, otherwise they would be having a GREAT TIME and enjoying it! In any city it can be this way, it usually takes a good 3 to 4 years before you really vibe, expand, succeed, connect, make friends, etc.
Hi Amy I hear ya! LA is a beast! I moved back 3 years ago and it took me that long to "adjust". In LA well it is a great city but like all cities it does have its "problems" but you have to learn to navigate around them and enjoy what each city has to offer. In LA to me it is about Hollywood, Glitz, Glamour, Red Carpet Events, filming my TV Show Series, RAW Movie, etc. etc. the negatives is traffic, cars, sometimes it is too hot, but if that is the worst of it that ain't that bad! Most cities have crime, homeless and drug problems on top of regular city problems LA does not have that so much so is primarily bad traffic, bad air and sometimes too hot(this is not too bad). But the Positives and Benefits and expansion in my career and meeting great people far outweighs those minor things, all cities have bad traffic and air!
So in LA you have to also meet and network with nice people, that have good RAW events, potlucks, go to Red Carpet and Charity Events, then it all seems very fantasy, fun, go to Beverly Hills to shop or eat raw organic salads, then it is all Glitz and Glamour of LA and Hollywood...instead of mundane everyday realities or struggles of regular life...just wanted to explain...and share advice and also in Santa Monica there is a lot of RAW Food and RAW Foodists so is very fun too!
About my TV SHOW I am still filming it and won't be releasing clips until it airs! But my new 4th Edition DVD is about to be available and there are clips of it on my page or here somewhere I uploaded it...I should try to release clips of my TV SHOW but am still filming it! :o)
Thank you for your message! :o) In LA it really is who you know and the people that make it fun!
Hi Amy...ahhhh...thanks for that sweet comment;) Just notived ur in VA, that's where home is for me. I'm in CA at the LLCI and it is incredible! Awesome. It's going well. The lettuces on the fire escape are looking good to harvest again. Need to get into Brooklyn to check on that. I was on vacation for 10 days, so lots of catching up and posting to catch up on. Pretty sure going to start from seed next time or maybe for the winter. It's been a great experience so far. Thanks for asking.

RGG,
the belly-centered symptoms that most people (mistakenly) call hunger usually pass within 2-3 days. Your body is not hungry while fasting because it gets all of its needs met from its own reserves.
Weeds, Outrageous Fortune (great kiwi comedy) Kath and kim (aussie) the office (UK) United states of Tara. There are alot really when I think about it. There are alot of great tv writers out there now but I am not into reality tv shows.

Another way to think about this is that "frugivore" is a word used by scientists to describe any animal that eats a fruit-based diet (including virtually all of the anthropoid primates). "Frugivore" has an accepted scientific definition. "Fruitari...
Hi Priyam and RGG,
Even blending them is a big step down in quality from eating them whole, for a number of reasons. The pre-chewing argument -- often heard -- doesn't really carry much weight as the benefit of chewing in the mouth is that any re...
Try this. I found out about it when I worked at Jubbs longevity. There is absolutely no aftertaste and a bottle lasts forever. I've been using it for years. Lucky Vitamin has amazing prices on many things too.
