About Me:
I am a personal trainer in the Spring area. I began my transiton to raw foods about 10 years ago. I have had a couple of health challenges that have made me more focused at times (cancer, adrenal fatigue,hypothyroid) Now I am doing it just for me,,,nothing is motivating other that my desire to experience optimal health. I teach raw food classes and co-chair our local meetup group. I love working with others during their transtion to raw foods!

Hi Alicia,

ok off top of my head, will post amounts later, along with pics..

Curry Sauce

Sun-dried toms (soaked with raw cider vinegar overnight) plus soak water,
Fresh organic toms,
1/2 Red Pepper,
Cumin seeds,
Fenugreek seeds,
Mustard seeds,
Fresh Ginger,
Fresh Turmeric (get from local chinese super-market),
Fresh Chillies,
Fresh Garlic.

Blend it all up in Vitamix, or grind spices seperately and mix with sauce.

Veg

sliced red onion,
dehydrated mushrooms,
baby sweetcorn,
red and yellow peppers,
peas.
thinly sliced courgettes (Zuchini)
or any veg you like - aubergine etc..

Add veg to sauce and let marinate. plus add some chopped coriander..

Cauli - Rice

Blend Cauli florets on lowest setting in Vitamix or grate by hand and add chopped coriander,
can add a little coconut oil to soften if desired.

Also my Bread of Heaven goes nicely with all this and maybe some chutney or raita too...

get all the ingredients and ill post up my quantities...

A ? for you. I'm 59 years old, just new to 811rv, need to lose abput 80 lbs, and just getting back to the gym after a lengthy absence. I have been in pretty good shape in the past, at age 22 I was in dynamite shape after living and working in the woods for 6 years. At age 48 I lost 40 lbs by working out and had gained about 20-30 lbs of muscle over the years. I worked out hard about 6-8 years ago, but that was the last time that counted for anything.

I'm starting out with Bill Phillips "Body for LIfe " routine to start because it's easy for me to remember and I'm not ready for much bodyweight stuff yet like pushups, planks and pullups.

Do you think there is such a thing as muscle memory and that the muscles will remember what it is like to be strong and lean and return to that state faster?

Do Rawers obtain greater strength gains than SAD eaters?

Any advice? I am hard to motivate so I keep it simple.
